White mans overbite
Dickinson College in Pennsylvania published an op-ed in its student newspaper claiming that the world needs to be saved from “the white man,” arguing that white men have “become obsolete” and “have yet to demonstrate any collective competence in treating people as human beings.” An op-ed entitled, “How Do We Save the World From the White Man?” was published Thursday in the student newspaper for Dickinson College, The Dickinsonian. In the piece, the author argues that “the idea of the white man” should be dismantled “wherever it tries to manifest itself.”Student Kevin Ssonko wrote his anti-white piece in response to the backlash that had been received in response to another op-ed published in the school’s student newspaper last week, entitled, “Should White Boys Still Be Allowed to Talk?” In the first anti-white piece, the author had argued that white males are not qualified to share their … [Read more...] about Dickinson Student Newspaper: ‘The Idea of the White Man Has Become Obsolete’
A white man who claimed to be a longtime resident at an Upper East Side building appeared to harass a black neighbor and his friend in a cellphone recording of the interaction, asking "What are you doing in my building? You don't live here." The video, posted by Chika Okafor, a 29-year-old social media producer for the sports website Bleacher Report, shows the white man insisting to Okafor, "You don't live here... I've never seen you before, I've been here 27 years." Okafor said he's been living in the building, a four-story walkup on First Avenue near East 74th Street, since last year in a sublet. The interaction apparently began before the phone started recording, when the white man saw the two black men waiting for their Lyft in the lobby and asked, "'Who the f--- are these guys?,'" Okafor told The New York Times. The video shows Okafor reminding the man of what he said, to which the man replied, "I do that to white people, too." The man, dubbed on … [Read more...] about ‘Hallway Harry’: White Man Harasses Black Neighbor in Upper East Side Building

Barack Obama won two terms with more than 50 percent of the vote, the first Democrat to do so since Franklin D. Roosevelt. And Hillary Clinton, even though she fell short in the Electoral College, received 3 million more votes than her white male opponent. Yet Michael Avenatti, who is exploring a presidential run of his own, told Time magazine in a recent interview that only a white man could beat President Donald Trump in 2020, “because of where the electorate lines up and where Trump’s strengths lie,” though he also stressed that “it shouldn’t be that way” in an ideal world. While noting that nonwhite males can and have won elections against people not named Trump, Avenatti went on to say that, in general, “I … [Read more...] about Do Democrats Need a White Man to Beat Trump in 2020?
