Just as we informed you earlier today, Apple just released a new beta of iOS 11 - it'd be the 8th developer-centric and the 7th public one to hit us over the course of two months or so. With the announcement of Apple's next iPhones heavily rumored to take place on September 12, it's only natural to see iOS 11 getting more polished and readying itself for official rollout. With that said, we ought to check out what's new and improved in this latest beta as it will most likely make it to the final release of the OS. Here are the notable changes and bug fixes: Tweaked ads in the new App Store; Improved search function inside the App Store; 3D Touch function delay has been further reduced; Unlock animation and volume adjustment animation are now a bit faster; Of course, it wouldn't be a beta release if a trove of new issues didn't arise. In the case of iOS 11 developer beta 8 / public beta 7, Apple has shared a lengthy list of new bugs that will have to be fixed until … [Read more...] about iOS 11 Developer Beta 8 / Public Beta 7: Here’s what’s new
After the official sneak peek of iOS 9 that Apple gave us last month, the developer preview of the upcoming version of the platform got quickly seeded to developers. It was the first, yet totally not the only developer preview that had been slated for this summer. Actually, it was yesterday when the third beta of iOS 9 got pushed to those users with developer accounts, and just as one might expect, it came with a handful of improvements and new features. This app features editor-curated and hand-picked news stories in a handful of different categories; as a refresher, the approach with Apple Music's Beats 1 playlist radio is similar.Apart from Apple News, iOS 9 beta 3 also comes with improved Photos app - it now … [Read more...] about iOS 9 beta 3 is up, here’s what’s new
Android 8.0 Oreo is now officially-official, but Apple is not lagging much behind – while we still have some time before iOS 11 officially arrives, there's always room for a new beta version of that one to arrive. Guess what, iOS 11 beta 7 is now out, introducing a tiny slew of new features to the mix that are quite likely ending up in the official iOS 11 version sometime next month. So, what's new in this update. Suffice to say that it's a rather incremental one with few novelties: Volume slider now has a yellow "too loud" section in Control Center (EU only); Smaller clock on the lock screen; New Apple Music icon in the Now Playing section of Control Center; 30-pin-to-Lightning adapter now working as intended; Cellular data stats will reset each month; iPad multitasking will show previews of the resized window panes; Touch ID will be disabled while entering Emergency mode; New podcasts will no longer get automatically downloaded if you haven't listen to the old ones … [Read more...] about iOS 11 beta 7 is out: Here’s what’s new
