Adoption of India technology stack like unique identifier technology, digital payments and Co-Win will help foreign countries save billions and expedite their digitisation process, electronics and IT minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar said on Tuesday. The government plans to reach out to several countries to offer them technology stack as part of its responsibility as G20 Presidency and expects Indian startups and system integrators to gain from the exercise. Speaking about the first-ever India Stack Developer Conference to be held on Wednesday, Chandrasekhar said the government will not charge any fee for offering the technology platform, but the move is expected to help Indian startups and system integrators engage with foreign countries to help them in the adoption of the indigenously developed technology platforms. First-ever India Stack Developer Conference to be organized in New Delhi on January 25

The first India Stack Developer Conference that will dwell on ways and means to ensure wider adoption of India’s digital goods all over the world will be held in New Delhi on January 25. It will be attended by over 100 digital leaders from the industry, government, start-ups and unicorns and the academia. The government expects five to seven countries to sign up for adopting India-developed technology platforms like UPI and Aadhaar by March for accelerating digitisation, according to Union minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar . While speaking at India Stack Developer Conference , the minister said that the Prime Minister has decided to offer India technology platforms to countries to help them accelerate digitisation. "I expect by February-March, about 5-7 countries around the world to sign up (for adopting platforms)," Chandrasekhar said. Jan. 14 (UPI) — TNT has announced it will not air the fourth and final season of its sci-fi drama, Snowpiercer , as planned. “We can confirm that TNT will not air Season 4 of Snowpiercer ,” the cable network said in a statement Friday. “This was a difficult decision, but our admiration for the talented writers, actors and crew who brought Snowpiercer’s extraordinary post-apocalyptic world to life remains strong. We have been working collaboratively with the producers since last year to help the series find a new home where fans can continue to enjoy the compelling story and exceptional visual experience. We look forward to working with them on future projects.” The show was the last scripted series on TNT, which has been restructuring since its parent company Warner Bros. merged with Discovery. Biden Administration Defies GOP, Extends COVID Emergencies to May 11

President Joe Biden’s administration on Monday announced that he is defying the wishes of the Republican-led House and extending the national emergencies related to the Chinese coronavirus on May 11, but the administration directly admitted in its defense that ending Title 42 would result in “a substantial additional inflow of migrants at the Southwest border.” Both the coronavirus national emergency and public health emergency, declared in 2020, are set to expire on March 1 and April 11. However, the Biden administration made it clear on Monday it will not allow the emergencies to expire at those times and will instead extend them into May, despite Republicans in the House bringing forth resolutions to end the emergencies. H.R. 382 , also known as the Pandemic is Over Act, would specifically end the public health emergency declared three years ago.
