House of Cards creator Beau Willimon took to Twitter to call President Donald Trump “treasonous” and called on Congress to remove him from office through impeachment. Responding to a tweet from Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) to U.S. allies about the country’s “shared values,” Willimon suggested the only way prevent further “damage” would be by removing Trump from office.“Until the Congress is willing to use its constitutionally mandated power to end this presidency due to its rampant corruption and treasonous behavior, the damage will continue,” said the 40-year-old screenwriter. “Only actions, not statements, can stop it.” Earlier on in the day, Willimon also accused President Trump of damaging relations with prominent U.S. allies and appeasing dictators such as Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong-un. “Trump has stupidly & dangerously succeeded in alienating our greatest allies. They now find solidarity in opposing … [Read more...] about ‘House of Cards’ Creator Beau Willimon Calls for ‘Treasonous’ Trump to Be Impeached

Sonam Sheth, provided by Published 2:40 pm, Friday, June 8, 2018 Carl Court/Getty Images The self-described pro-transparency group WikiLeaks elbowed a reporter on Twitter whose data was seized by the Justice Department as part of a federal investigation into leaks of classified information. The organization quoted the reporter's tweets, in which she first criticized a fictional character for sleeping with a source to get information, and later mused about the ethics of doing the same in real life before adding that she was "totally kidding." WikiLeaks' apparent jabs at the reporter may raise eyebrows, given that the organization's claim to fame rests on it publishing secret and classified information leaked to it by anonymous sources. WikiLeaks, an organization that first gained attention for publishing leaked classified information, just sniped at a reporter who is now at the center of a federal investigation into leaks of classified information. Michael Caputo’s favorite novel is Mikhail Bulgakov’s The Master and Margarita, the story of the Devil’s visit to Moscow in the 1930s and all the oddball characters who surround him. When the future Trump campaign official was living in Moscow in the 1990s, he moved to Patriarch Pond, the novel’s setting, and scratched his apartment’s paint down to the color it was when Bulgakov wrote the novel in Stalin’s Soviet Union, and then repainted each room in the color it would have been then. Today, Caputo thinks the book’s magical realism and interplay of greed, guilt, and politics captures the absurdity of our modern moment perfectly, and he has taken his own first-edition copy of the book into his closed-door testimonies before the House Intelligence Committee, the Senate Intelligence Committee, and, earlier this month, to meet with Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigators. “I figure that’ll raise its resale value,” he … [Read more...] about Former Trump Campaign Aide: My Russia Ties Are Not Nefarious!
NOTE FROM SENIOR MANAGEMENT:Nobody had more respect and admiration for Dennis Miller than Andrew Breitbart. One of Andrew’s great joys was filling in as a guest host on the Dennis Miller radio show on Westwood One. They were connected by humor, insight, and the shared belief that conservative ideas can be advanced through culture. We are excited that things have come full circle and we welcome Dennis to Breitbart News. **** As we begin to establish a firm yet flimsy foothold in the Second Year A.D. (After Donald) of the Mueller Investigation (Doesn’t Hold Watergate), I think we should take stock (stalk?) and think of possible endgames. All right, enough Rounded Brackets for a while.I realize that half the country, or even a little more, get up each morning to check the satchel of overnight dispatch-leaks from Team Mueller. I know they’re hoping that President Trump either retires, is un-hired, or expires. I get that. I concede it readily… and I obviously … [Read more...] about METHINKS… Take Trump Down or Pipe Down, Start Impeachment Proceedings Now
Donald Trump has outlived the “axis of adults” who was supposed to guide and shape his foreign policy. He’s run through two national security advisers, innumerable lawyers and lower-level aides, an attorney general, an array of Cabinet secretaries and, any day now, the second of two White House chiefs of staff. He’s dumped the ideologist who helped elect him and never really clarified what his “America First” campaign slogan was all about anyways. But since we launched The Global Politico days after his inauguration, Trump has more than followed through on his election pledge to shake up the Washington establishment of both parties when it comes to America’s position in the world. Each week, we’ve watched as he’s reoriented – or tried to – U.S. policy toward everywhere from Iran to North Korea, Russia to our North American neighbors.
