If you're like me, the majority of your interactions with the Google Assistant are questions about the weather. What's it like now? What'll it be like tomorrow? Is it raining in Seattle? Right now, though, such questions are going unanswered, as Google seems to be having trouble delivering weather information for many. We're getting reports that the Assistant is unable to deliver current weather information or forecasts through most avenues. If you need to know what the weather is like before this gets sorted out, Googling it from a desktop … [Read more...] about Today’s forecast for Google weather includes offline servers with a chance of service interruptions

By Mikey Campbell Thursday, September 06, 2018, 07:38 pm PT (10:38 pm ET) Apple supplier Broadcom on Thursday said it expects strong seasonal sales to drive a 25 percent sequential rise in wireless revenue for the fourth quarter of 2018, echoing statements made during the lead up to last year's iPhone 8 and iPhone X launch. Speaking with analysts in a post-earnings conference call covering the third quarter of 2018, Broadcom CEO Hock Tan said he expects a "seasonal uptick" in wireless parts orders to drive current quarter revenue forecasts, reports Broadcom. The 25 percent boost is in large part thanks to a ramp in manufacturing at a "North American customer," believed by analysts to be Apple. Broadcom supplies a number of components used in iPhone devices, including the touchscreen and wireless charging controllers found in iPhone 8 and iPhone X. While wireless revenue is expected to jump on a sequential basis, the forecast is down in single-digit percentage from a year ago, the … [Read more...] about Apple supplier’s sales forecast suggests holiday iPhone shipments on pace to meet 2017 levels

There are great ones, and WeatherKit is among them. You can't go wrong opting for Dark Sky, Weather Underground, or AccuWeather. They all have great features. It doesn't have quite as many features as some other apps do, but it is designed to present the information that you need, clearly, accurately, and with a beautiful layout.A walk through WeatherKit When the app is launched, the current weather is presented amid a large, simple gradient background alongside a bit of text … [Read more...] about Hands On: WeatherKit for iPhone and iPad is a beautiful forecasting app for everyone
