Evidence confirming the existence of new, yet-unannounced Android tablets by Samsung is starting to pile up. Several months ago, the Samsung SM-T805 model name appeared in a user agent profile, and now, the very same slate is also listed in the FCC database. In fact, the commission has approved two models of the said device, the SM-T801 and the SM-T805. The difference between them appears to be that the former is limited to GSM/WCDMA cellular connectivity, while the latter supports LTE on band 5 as well.As usual, the FCC does not reveal much in terms of hardware specs for the Samsung SM-T801 and SM-T805. What the papers do confirm, however, is that their display diagonal size is 267.5 millimeters, which is about 10.5 inches. The slates are 246.5 mm wide and 176.4 mm tall (9.7 inches by 6.94 inches). Their battery is rated at 30.02Wh at 4.35 volts, which equals 6900mAh.Digging even further, we managed to discover import records for these two Samsung tablets on Zauba, where it is … [Read more...] about Samsung Galaxy tablet SM-T805 appears at the FCC with 10.5-inch display, Exynos 5 Octa SoC
Samsung’s unannounced SM-T800, which is expected to be a new high-end AMOLED tablet called Galaxy Tab S 10.5, was first spotted in a couple of photos last week. Today we have even more images of the new tablet - and, surprisingly, these were unveiled by the FCC (which rarely publishes photos of unannounced devices). We discovered no less than five images that show the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 SM-T800, all tucked away in the FCC’s reports. The Federal Commission confirms that the tablet has a screen with a diagonal of 267.2mm - meaning 10.5 inches. While the SM-T800 is the Wi-Fi-only version of the new tablet, we’ve also seen an LTE variant (SM-T805), and a 3G model (SM-T801).The 10.5-inch AMOLED display of the new Galaxy Tab S should offer a 2,560 x 1,600 pixel resolution. That aside, the tablet allegedly features an octa-core Exynos 5420 processor, 2MP front-facing camera, 8MP rear camera with LED flash, and Android KitKat with Samsung’s latest Magazine UX. On the … [Read more...] about Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 (SM-T800) with AMOLED screen appears in new photos
Samsung released the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 and Tab S 8.4 in June, presenting them as its best tablets ever. However, as we concluded in our reviews (here and here), the Exynos 5 Octa 5420 processor that’s powering the devices doesn’t seem to be handling intensive tasks as you’d expect from a flagship product. That’s likely one of the reasons why Samsung is seemingly getting ready to launch an upgraded Galaxy Tab S. According to Sam Mobile, a Galaxy Tab S with an Exynos 5 Octa 5433 processor should be released in South Korea later this month, or in early November. As you may know, the Exynos 5433 is Samsung’s latest mobile chipset, and is powering some Galaxy Note 4 variants. The 5433 will bring LTE-A support to the new tablet, which, otherwise, should offer the same features that we can found on the original version (1600 x 2560 pixels Super AMOLED display, 3 GB of RAM, expandable storage space, etc). The Tab S that’s expected to get an Exynos 5433 … [Read more...] about Speedier Samsung Galaxy Tab S (with Exynos 5433 processor and LTE-A) to be launched soon?
