Outlook Calendar for Windows has picked up some new features in Office 365 this week, all aimed at helping you manage your time more effectively. And while you're putting together invites, Microsoft will now suggest names of people you work with as you start typing out attendees. Also speeding things up is the ability to set default durations for meetings, along with the ability to reserve multiple rooms in multiple locations via the Room Finder. Microsoft is also working to limit confusion due to time zone differences, and each attendee will now see meetings in their local time instead of the organizer's. Rounding things out is attendee tracking, which provides tracking information on who is invited and who has responded for … [Read more...] about Outlook for Windows gets new time-management capabilities with Office 365

Slack has added new ways to interact with Microsoft’s Office 365 app directly from its own collaboration platform. It’s a big day for Slack. Today, the enterprise messaging app ticked off an item that’s long been top of users’ wishlists and announced new integrations with Office 365. Let’s start with the former first, as (speaking personally) it’s the most exciting. My hard drive is littered with files that I’ve downloaded, just because I wanted a single piece of information from them. Plus, Word is a bit of a dog, performance wise. It often takes a while … [Read more...] about Slack now lets you preview documents within the app (and plays nice with Office 365!)

Collaboration tools such as Office 365, SharePoint and G-Suite are often a business’ best friend, allowing colleagues to quickly share, edit and review documents on the go. However, the growth in popularity of these tools has also sparked an upsurge in cyber criminals targeting these platforms – particularly Office 365. With Business Email Compromise (BEC) attacks on the rise, Office 365 users are, in fact among the most heavily targeted. According to the FBI, BEC attacks were responsible for more than $5.3 billion in losses between 2013 and 2016.
