The company will also reimburse any unhappy customers who bought the eggs between January 12, 2017 and August 31, 2017. A district attorney in California argued that the company used misleading, inaccurate information to convince customers that the eggs might help their hormone levels or increase bladder control. Goop says the products will continue to be sold on its site. A “vaginal egg” will not balance your hormones, regulate your menstrual cycle, or help with bladder control. For Gwyneth Paltrow’s beauty and wellness company Goop, those scientific facts have come with a fine. On Tuesday, Goop settled a lawsuit brought by … [Read more...] about Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop must stop making bogus claims about its $66 ‘vaginal eggs’ because of a legal settlement. We're about a week away from the longest day of the year, which means there's plenty of time to kick back and enjoy some great content. Wondering exactly where to start when it comes to books, music, and movies? We've rounded up a bunch of recommendations to help you out. Movies Here are some of the movies Windows Central is enjoying this week. Star Wars: The Last Jedi Recommended by Jez Corden, senior Xbox editor Star Wars: The Last Jedi is an odd entry in the Star Wars canon; it takes some liberties with established ideas about what a Star Wars movie should be, particularly so when it comes to use of the Force, and the wider universe affected by the current trilogy's major conflict. It's a flawed movie, deeply so, but it has some truly explosive moments, great battles, and morsels of nostalgia long-time fans will relish. It's well worth a watch, but I think you'd really need to be a big franchise fan to really enjoy this one. The Walking Dead is back and careening toward the conclusion of the “All Out War” saga. That means the end of the feud between Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and his arch-nemesis Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) — and perhaps that’s a good thing. Thus far, the show’s big bet on Negan has been a bit of a misfire, with ratings hitting staggering lows last year, and Negan himself largely absent from the first half of the show’s eighth season. But a season-ending climax is an opportunity to bring all the threads together, so in these final weeks I’ll be analyzing the show through its presentation of Negan: how he acts, how he delivers his jokes and threats, and most importantly, how his character develops in contrast to our supposedly virtuous heroes. We’ll look at all the traits a villain is supposed to excel at — including those we detest — and boil it down into one single score on what we are calling the Neganometer™. A score of … [Read more...] about The Walking Dead has transformed Negan into a likable and even redeemable villain
Lady spies are the best spies. They not only know how to slip underneath anybody’s radar but in their agency or hidden organization grow to develop many different skills. In comics, we are #blessed to have so many different spies at our disposal. These aren’t all the spies that comics have to offer, but these are some of our favorite lady spies in comics. She’s also a badass in her own right. Framed for killing Frank Lancaster, a former spy turned trainer and potentially involved in the murder of another agent, X-14. She has to use her skills and deep dark past to get through and figure out the mystery of these deaths … [Read more...] about 11 Female Spy Comics You Should Read
