Fünf Seen (Five Lakes) Film Festival Open Air, July 26th - August 15th, Starnberg and Wörthsee (Munich) In the lead up to the 12th annual edition of this film festival, the organizers have turned the shores of two lakes just outside of Munich into open air cinemas. For the first half of August, visitors can make themselves comfortable in a deck chair, with a beer in hand, and taking in the magic of a shimmering expanse of water stretching out into the distance. A great variety of films will be screened over the course of the three weeks, ranging from the second instalment of Mamma Mia, to Ladybird and Three Billboards outside Ebbing, Missouri. Instagram sent out an invitation to a mysterious event being held in New York City on December 12th. By itself, that isn't so strange. But when you consider that the invites were sent on paper through the regular snail mail, speculation grows that the event will have something to do with printing. Other invitations included a picture printed on a block of wood with a hanger on the back so that it could be hung up on the wall. It is possible that Instagram could be offering a promotion just in time for the holiday shopping season.If Instagram is planning on offering physical reproductions of subscriber's photos, they will have to take on companies that already offer such pictures on various media like canvas, glass and wood.
