Audio player loading… When is the Avatar 2 release date? And, now we're asking, when are the other three coming out? The original saw us travel to exotic climes - quite the blessing at the moment, come to think of it - with its amazing performance capture, CG backgrounds, and 3D photography. The 2009 blockbuster became the highest grossing film of all time, until Avengers: Endgame spoiled the Na'vi party. Even though it's been over a decade since now, this success naturally breeds sequels, and we're getting quite a few of them. Originally intended for 2014, the still-untitled Avatar 2 is the first of four follow-ups on the way. We haven't heard much of late, but not long ago Cameron revealed this first sequel is 100% done, with the third very far along, too - we even recently got a new set photo featuring a huge boat called The Matador, more on that below. While we do know we're headed back to Pandora, we also know we'll be travelling underwater thanks to cutting-edge … [Read more...] about Avatar: The Way Of The Water: leaks, first images and everything we know

Republicans: Joe Biden’s ID Cards for Illegal Aliens Will Spur Welfare Fraud
A plan by President Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to provide border crossers and illegal aliens with identification cards before their release into the United States will spur widespread welfare fraud, House Republicans warn. As Breitbart News reported last month, the Biden administration is considering issuing the IDs to illegal aliens once they arrive at the U.S.-Mexico border. The IDs would be a boon for illegal immigration, transforming the border into a mere checkpoint ahead of their release into American communities. DHS officials have defended the plan , claiming it will cut costs for the agency even as illegal immigration costs American taxpayers at least $143 billion annually. In a letter to DHS officials, Republicans on the House Oversight Committee warn that the program could lead to widespread welfare fraud where border crossers and illegal aliens use the IDs to unlawfully access public benefits reserved for struggling Americans. “… the … [Read more...] about Republicans: Joe Biden’s ID Cards for Illegal Aliens Will Spur Welfare Fraud
Report: Biden Worried About ‘Optics’ of Democrat Mayors Opposing Illegal Immigration to their Cities
President Joe Biden is reportedly worried about “the optics” of Democrat mayors suddenly opposing illegal immigration as Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) buses border crossers and illegal aliens to their cities. For months, Abbott and Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey (R) have bused thousands to New York City, New York, and Washington, DC — drawing opposition from New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) and Washington, DC, Mayor Muriel Bowser (D). While Bowser — who requested the D.C. National Guard but was turned down by the Pentagon — has described the busing of border crossers and illegal aliens as a “crisis,” Adams has called the buses arriving in his city “horrific.” Mayor Bowser / Facebook Now, Biden is said to be concerned about “the optics” of pro-sanctuary city Democrat mayors swiftly opposing illegal immigration when it arrives on their doorsteps. Liberal Groups Warn Immigration Curbs Could Sink ‘Global Warming’ Bill
Left-wing groups are warning GOP amendments on migration could sink the Democrats’ world-saving, climate change “reconciliation” bill, as soon as this weekend. “I made it very clear at the caucus [meeting] that adoption of such amendments, if they were to stay in the final [bill], would kill reconciliation,” Sen. Robert Menendez (D-NJ), according to an August 2 report in a Bloomberg media site. On Tuesday, RollCall.com described Mendenz’s written statement as a warning to Democrats “against voting for Republican amendments on issues such as immigration that could threaten the overall reconciliation legislation.” The same day, 286 left-wing groups posted a letter urging Democrats to reject any amendments — dubbed “ poison pills ” — that would reduce the mass foreign migration into Americans’ workplaces and housing. “Adopting anti-immigrant amendments to the [climate bill] will likely bring forth challenges to the passage of this important legislation,” the letter said. … [Read more...] about Liberal Groups Warn Immigration Curbs Could Sink ‘Global Warming’ Bill
Space debris found in Australia confirmed to be from SpaceX craft
What just happened? Pieces of space debris found in the mountains of southern New South Wales, Australia, have been confirmed as belonging to a SpaceX craft. The parts are believed to have broken off from the unpressurized trunk of a SpaceX capsule that was jettisoned prior to re-entering earth's atmosphere earlier this year. Last Thursday, Mick Miners and Jock Wallace, two sheep farmers in the town of Dalgety, reported finding the object. They spoke to Brad Tucker, an astrophysicist at the Australian National University, who noted that their description matched a SpaceX craft that re-entered the earth's atmosphere on July 9, twenty months after it launched in November 2020. Tucker's initial assessment of the object, which is about 3 meters (9.8 feet) tall and weighs about 20-30 kilograms (22 – 66 pounds), was that it "kind of just looks like a burnt tree […] and then you come up to it, it's like this alien obelisk almost." The heat-resistant materials, including woven carbon … [Read more...] about Space debris found in Australia confirmed to be from SpaceX craft
Prey director has a fascinating response to those Predator prequel questions
Audio player loading… Prey director Dan Trachtenberg has attempted to clarify whether the upcoming Predator movie is actually a prequel. Speaking exclusively to TechRadar at the film's UK junket, Trachtenberg surprisingly revealed that he doesn't refer to Prey as a Predator prequel. As Trachtenberg goes on to explain, though, there's a significant reason why he doesn't believe the upcoming Hulu movie is a prequel film in the traditional sense. "I personally never refer to it as a prequel," Trachtenberg said. "Although, technically, I think it is. When we initially announced [Prey], it was suggested that we were going to tell the origin story of the Predator. That is not what we're doing." What kind of movie is Prey, then? As it turns out, the answer is a lot more complicated than we previously thought. With the Disney Plus film – it'll be available on Disney's streamer in non-US territories – set 300 years before the 1987 Arnold … [Read more...] about Prey director has a fascinating response to those Predator prequel questions

Prey understands what makes Predator interesting: the hunt
Since its debut in 1987, the Predator franchise has had a, let’s say, uneven history. The premise is brilliant in its simplicity: A race of aliens who live for nothing more than a good hunt travel to Earth in search of prey. It worked particularly well for the first two films, but over the course of more sequels, spinoffs, and forays into games and comics, that high-level idea has been diluted quite a bit — which is what makes Prey so refreshing. The latest mainline Predator movie jumps backwards in time and focuses entirely on the most important part of the franchise: the hunt. This review contains spoilers for Prey. Prey is set in 1719 in the Northern Great Plains, and centers on a budding Comanche hunter named Naru (Amber Midthunder). Though she’s a skilled healer, Naru desperately wants to be a hunter and leader like her brother Taabe (Dakota Beavers), and is constantly pushing against the expectations placed on her. She trains with weapons on her own, pushes her … [Read more...] about Prey understands what makes Predator interesting: the hunt
