If the replacement is £600 then we clearly won't be buying them and we'll get a cheap Android instead even if they are harder to manage. posted on 21 Feb 2018, 03:30 0 8. sgodsell (Posts: 5787; Member since: 16 Mar 2013) That's just it, Apple knows if you want an iPhone, then you have to pay what ever Apple wants. Plus it's too small for my liking. The resolution was a joke for the SE when it came out in March 2016, especially when it doesn't have a HD display. However the new SE 2 has a 0.2" larger display, and the density could be higher … [Read more...] about Comments for : Report: Apple iPhone SE 2 to feature 4.2-inch screen; device will be introduced at WWDC?

Apple plans on updating its 4-inch retro model handset in the first half of next year. The Apple iPhone SE 2 will reportedly be built by one of Apple's trusted contract manufacturers, Wriston. Earlier this year, the current version of the iPhone SE started to go into production in Wriston's Indian plant. Despite heavy demand for smartphones in the country, which makes India the second largest market for intelligent handsets globally, low per capita income limits many iPhone buyers in the region to purchase older models, or the cheaper iPhone SE unit. After cutting its teeth on the production of the Apple iPhone 5c, Wriston's Indian facilities not only churned out the iPhone SE earlier this year, but produced some Apple iPhone 8 models as well; Apple is looking to expand the distribution of Wriston's output to more locations around the world. The current iPhone SE model, which resembles the Apple iPhone 5s, is powered by the A9 chipset used in the Apple iPhone 6s and Apple iPhone 6s Plus. … [Read more...] about Report: Apple plans on releasing a new iPhone SE 2 model for 2018
Apple's iPhone SE (pictured above on the left) will soon be 2 years old, and yet it's still a pretty popular handset, being the only 4-inch smartphone that offers nice features in a premium body - all at a decent price. Recently, we've heard rumors about a next-generation iPhone SE, possibly called iPhone SE 2, which could be released before mid-2018 to cater to the needs of users who aren't crazy about large screens. But a new report now has it that Apple might not be working on an iPhone SE 2, or at least not yet.According to MacRumors, well-connected KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says it's unlikely for Apple to "have enough spare resources to develop a new iPhone model for launch" in the first half of this year. That's because, apparently, Apple wants to make sure that its fall 2018 iPhone line-up (likely including 3 new large devices) is released on time. Last year, Apple announced the iPhone 8, 8 Plus, and iPhone X on the same day, but couldn't launch them at … [Read more...] about New iPhone SE 2 launch rumors

No sense in continually whining about it though, the Galaxy S9+ will become my daily driver until the Note 9. Here’s hoping 2019 will see Apple going back to delivering awesome products. posted on 29 Jan 2018, 20:54 0 12. youssef44 (Posts: 359; Member since: 29 Apr 2014) And I don't understand why Samsung didn't release S series with Note series at the same time!! Blitz question – can you name a smartphone that's both compact and powerful? The iPhone SE is probably what springs to mind for anyone who has been following the news. In a nutshell, it packs the potential of an iPhone 6s inside the body of an iPhone 5s. It is smaller and cheaper, yet equipped with the A9 system on chip and 12MP main camera of Apple's flagship handset. However, the obvious size and design differences aren't all that sets the two phones apart. The different price tags don't complete the list either. In fact, the more we compare the iPhone SE and iPhone 6s side by side, the more differences between the two we come across.
