He saw Christian Covington sign a free agent deal with the Dallas Cowboys after toiling in the Texans' rotation for years. And Watkins watched the Texans reward defensive end Angelo Blackson with a three-year, $12 million contract. It made Watkins, heading into a pivotal third NFL season, open his eyes toward what could be if he thrives in an anticipated larger role. "It definitely is a good thing for me," Watkins said. "Those guys, seeing where they came from and how they worked, being behind those guys, they treated me like a little brother. "No hazing, they wanted me to come along. Ilhan Omar’s antisemitic tropes suggesting pro-Israel interests pushed allegiance to a “foreign country” or that pro-Israel politicians are motivated by financial support, some progressive Democrats seem to be arguing against the State Department’s very definition of antisemitism. The White House confirmed Monday that President Donald Trump’s State of the Union address will not take place Tuesday as originally scheduled. “We know it’s definitely not tomorrow,” Mercedes Schlapp, White House director of strategic communications, said in an interview on Fox News on Monday when asked about the canceled speech.House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has not released a new invitation to the president after informing him last week that the address was officially canceled because of the government shutdown. Trump signed a bill temporarily ending the shutdown on Friday for three weeks while border barrier funding debates continue. “Our offices are talking,” Schlapp told reporters. It is currently unclear whether Pelosi will invite the president during the three-week truce or wait until the government is reopened for a longer period of time.
