Next month is April, which means it’s time for the second season of HBO’s Westworld to arrive. Yes, there’s also going to be some “movies” at your local “theater” that may be considered “important if you want to stay remotely in touch with mainstream pop culture,” but mostly it’s going to be about Westworld. Okay, maybe I’m just enthused thanks to the show’s latest trailer. But either way, only two episodes of HBO’s sci-fi drama will be released during April, which means you will have to find other things to watch — and thankfully the host of modern streaming services will be there to help. Netflix will be adding its own sci-fi series to the mix on April 13th, with the debut of its Lost In Space reboot, as well as releasing the Jay Z episode of David Letterman’s new talk show My Next Guest Needs No Introduction on April 6th. The service will also be releasing the Sundance drama Kodachrome on April … [Read more...] about Everything coming to Netflix, Amazon Prime, and HBO Now in April

Amazon Prime is Amazon’s deluxe subscription model that initially only offered free two-day shipping on select items when it started. However, it has since expanded quite a bit into a slew of varied services that run the gamut from books to movies to, yes, additional shipping perks. Sign up for Amazon Prime (free 30-day trial) This gradually increasing range of services was precipitated by a price hike in 2014 from $79 per year to $99 per year. In response to this adjustment, many Prime users really started to wonder if it was worth keeping their membership. Now that question is even more difficult to answer, because Amazon Prime’s value hinges not only on how many items you order, but also how much use you get out of its other services. On Feb. 23, the second part of season 1 of "The Tick" will stream on Amazon Prime. I'm not the biggest fan of breaking up seasons like this and am curious if it results in more views or not. Anyway, Amazon has the fourth season of "Mozart in the Jungle" coming up as well. It's a show I have yet to get really into since there are some NSFW scenes (and I tried to watch it at work). In my head, this movie is clearly "Cars" meets "Ocean's Eleven."
