Responding to google reviews
A new feature in Google Reviews will ping you with a notification whenever a business responds to a review you've left on its page. That means whenever you slam that cat cafe for "not enough seal-point Siamese" or "too much cat hair in my cake", you'll be sent an email to inform you when the business responds to defend itself, say it's sorry or spit vitriol back at you. Of course, the same notification will appear if you leave a nice review. The update, published on Google's advertiser community page, said the notification functionality will soon be coming to mobile in the form of a push notification. A delay of five minutes happens between the business posting the reply and the notification being sent, presumably to allow time to rethink the string of curse words it first sent. … [Read more...] about You’ll now know when a business hits back at your bad Google review
Google is continuing to encourage the connection between developers and users and now the company behind Android has allowed developers to respond to user reviews on Google Play.“The feature originally rolled out to top developers, and we’re gradually expanding it to additional Google Play developers,” a Google spokesperson said. The feature first launched for top developers in June 2012, and now all developers are getting the privilege to reply to users’ comments.Google has not officially unveiled this new functionality yet, but has instead quietly allowed devs to get in touch with users. And it’s a big one as a lot of people take decisions on apps based on their user rating.source: Droid-life, The Next Web … [Read more...] about Google begins allowing all developers to respond to user comments and reviews on Google Play
Developers will have a chance to respond to user comments in Windows Phone 8.1, if a leak from the updated version of Windows Phone 8 is legit. Of course, the reply will be listed in the Windows Phone Store for all of the world to see. This gives Code Jockeys a chance to defend their game or app from criticism, whether warranted or not. How do we know that this feature is coming to Windows Phone 8.1? Just follow the bouncing ball. When you complain about a particular Windows Phone Store app to Microsoft in Windows Phone 8.1, you're taken immediately to Internet Explorer. From there, you can tell Microsoft that the app you're complaining about has "offensive content" or "poor performance" and you want the guys in Redmond to look into it. You can also tell Microsoft that the developer's "inappropriate response" to your review about his app is something that Microsoft needs to investigate. It is the latter that gives away the new feature. You see, currently developers do not have the … [Read more...] about Developers will get to respond to user reviews in Windows Phone 8.1?
