May 29, 2018 - Written By Dominik Bosnjak Another set of renders depicting what’s said to be Motorola’s upcoming Moto Z3 Play emerged online earlier today, giving even more credence to previous reports and indications that the modular Android mid-ranger will be equipped with a fingerprint reader embedded into the side-mounted power button installed alongside its right edge. The latest leak is entirely in line with the render of the device AndroidHeadlines shared last month, revealing a handset with an elongated 18:9 display panel which lacks a physical home button, as well as a metal rear plate featuring a dual-camera setup. The main imaging system of the Moto Z3 Play is said to utilize two 12-megapixel sensors, with the Android device being expected to feature a 6-inch screen with an FHD+ resolution of 2,160 by 1,080 pixels. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 636 clocked at 1.8GHz is also said to be part of the package, together with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage space. Apple has been doing it for a while now with its iPhone editions, but recently most major phone manufacturers outed or will have flagship models without microSD card slots. In the slideshow below we have listed some major handsets that force you to make do without more memory than their makers supplied internally, and upon making it we realized that this is getting epidemic now. That is why we wanted to ask if you approve this obvious trend, and to what extent the good ol' memory card can be swapped for the newly-minted cloud storage services most major smartphone manufacturers are now trying to make us stomach. The Nexus 5 is finally here. After countless rumors and leaks, Google has finally officially unveiled the new member of the Nexus family and it comes with a 5-inch 1080p display, top-shelf specs and the latest Android 4.4 KitKat. Plus, it features an ambitious optical-image stabilized camera that aims to deliver ‘unmatched’ dim light performance. It comes in two colors from the start - you can pick between black and white. Most prominent on the front is the very sharp 5-inch display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. That’s as sharp as flagship smartphones get. The display uses in-cell touch, a fancy name for a technology that integrates the part of the screen that registers touch with the actual LCD. This eliminates reflections and makes the screen much easier to read outdoors.Under the hoodUnder the hood, the Nexus 5 features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 system chip with Adreno 320 graphics and 2GB of RAM. This is the exact same chip that powers the latest … [Read more...] about Nexus 5 is here: available today on Google Play
