WWDC 2022 startet med et smell. Under hovedinnlegget den 6. juni annonserte Apple macOS 13 Ventura, den seneste versjonen av operativsystemet til Mac, oppfølgeren til macOS 12 Monterey . In two days, the 2018 hit game Marvel's Spider-Man will break out of its console exclusivity and land on Windows ( Steam , EGS ) as arguably Sony's biggest PC port yet. We knew Sony was bullish about selling more games on PC in the current fiscal year , but we didn't expect a critically acclaimed gem like Spider-Man , which previously drove console sales as a PlayStation exclusive, to make the transition. The thing about PC ports, of course, is that they have to work on a wide range of machines. As of press time, the Spider-Man version we tested doesn't necessarily surpass the mix of stability and impressive technical performance that developer Insomniac delivered on dated PlayStation 4 architecture. Tokyo-based startup Telexistence this week announced it will deploy NVIDIA AI-powered robots to restock shelves at hundreds of FamilyMart convenience stores in Japan. There are 56,000 convenience stores in Japan — the third-highest density worldwide. Around 16,000 of them are run by FamilyMart. Telexistence aims to save time for these stores by offloading repetitive tasks like refilling shelves of beverages to a robot, allowing retail staff to tackle more complex tasks like interacting with customers. It’s just one example of what can be done by Telexistence’s robots, which run on the NVIDIA Jetson edge AI and robotics platform.
