Trump Calls to Dissolve January 6 Committee in Wake of Liz Cheney’s Loss

August 17, 2022 by www.breitbart.com Leave a Comment

Former President Donald Trump called for dissolving the January 6 Committee in the wake of Rep. Liz Cheney’s (R-WY) primary loss, deeming her defeat a “referendum on the never ending Witch Hunt.” “I assume that with the very big Liz Cheney loss, far bigger than had ever been anticipated, the January 6th Committee of political Hacks and Thugs will quickly begin the beautiful process of DISSOLUTION?” Trump said in a TruthSocial post on election night. “This was a referendum on the never ending Witch Hunt. The people have spoken!” he exclaimed: Indeed, Trump-endorsed Harriet Hageman secured a victory in the highly anticipated race — viewed by many as a proxy battle between Trump and the establishment — on Tuesday night. As of Wednesday morning, Hageman led with 66.3 percent to Cheney’s 28.9 percent. “Congratulations to Harriet Hageman on her great and very decisive WIN in Wyoming,” Trump said on election night. “This is a wonderful result for America, and a complete … [Read more...] about Trump Calls to Dissolve January 6 Committee in Wake of Liz Cheney’s Loss

iOS VPNs have leaked traffic for more than 2 years, researcher claims

August 17, 2022 by arstechnica.com Leave a Comment

A security researcher says that Apple's iOS devices don't fully route all network traffic through VPNs as a user might expect, a potential security issue the device maker has known about for years. Michael Horowitz, a longtime computer security blogger and researcher, puts it plainly—if contentiously—in a continually updated blog post . "VPNs on iOS are broken," he says. Any third-party VPN seems to work at first, giving the device a new IP address, DNS servers, and a tunnel for new traffic, Horowitz writes. But sessions and connections established before a VPN is activated do not terminate and, in Horowitz's findings with advanced router logging, can still send data outside the VPN tunnel while it's active. In other words, you might expect a VPN client to kill existing connections before establishing a secure connection so they can be re-established inside the tunnel. But iOS VPNs can't seem to do this, Horowitz says, a finding that is backed up by a similar report from May … [Read more...] about iOS VPNs have leaked traffic for more than 2 years, researcher claims

Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro Ongoing Review: Better Batteries, Bye Bezel

August 16, 2022 by www.cnet.com Leave a Comment

The Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro are Samsung's latest wearables that want to be your go-to Android watch. Set for release on Aug. 26, along with the Galaxy Fold 4 and Flip 4 , they have bigger batteries, a new temperature sensor and a more durable design. But they lose the fan-favorite rotating bezel that the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic model still offers as an alternative to using a touch-sensitive rim. This year's watch comes in two variants : The Galaxy Watch 5 and a slightly larger, more rugged Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. Apart from the construction, sports modes and battery capacity, they share most of the same features. So far, I haven't found that many significant differences warrant an upgrade from last year's Galaxy Watch 4 series given the software is largely unchanged and the new temperature sensor is not yet active. But the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro is the more tempting proposition if you want a more durable watch with a bigger battery. With the Pixel Watch on the horizon and … [Read more...] about Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro Ongoing Review: Better Batteries, Bye Bezel

Over 500 Pastors, Faith Leaders Gather in CA at TPUSA Faith Summit

August 17, 2022 by www.breitbart.com Leave a Comment

More than 500 pastors and faith leaders quietly gathered in San Diego, California, last weekend at the first annual Pastors Summit, hosted by Charlie Kirk’s Turning Point USA Faith. “Only the pulpits have the power to change America,” one pastor said after attending the event. The summit was held from August 10 to 12, and featured pastors Rob McCoy, John Amanchukwu, Rick Brown, and John Randall, national pro-life leader Lila Rose, academic and leading critic of wokeness James Lindsay, and Charlie Kirk, among may others. “There remains one institution in America that the radical left doesn’t control, and that is the American Church,” Kirk told Breitbart News. “The Church is the last firewall to freedom.” “But there are three types of churches in America today: the courageous, the cowardly, and the complicit, and this final category is growing fast,” Kirk added. “TPUSA Faith wants to raise up a whole new generation of trained, equipped, and action-oriented pastors and church … [Read more...] about Over 500 Pastors, Faith Leaders Gather in CA at TPUSA Faith Summit
