Here in Italy the nexus 7 starts from eur 199 and though the price can't be compared with the US price, it is still one of the best tablets around for that price, if not the best. That's why I'm happy that the next nex7 will be made by asus again (but I also hope that google will open the devices store soon, unless they want to give up entire markets to microsoft)m posted on 10 May 2013, 03:27 0 16. anywherehome (Posts: 971; Member since: 13 Dec 2011) yes, but the most important is to teach people spend money for the online … [Read more...] about Comments for : Analyst spells out the new Nexus 7 tablet specs: WUXGA display, quad-core Snapdragon, same sub-$200 tag
New nexus 7 tablet
The new Google Nexus 7 has some welcomed changes such as a higher screen resolution to 1920 x 1200. That gives the tablet a pixel density of 323ppi, among the highest for a tablet. The Tegra 3 processor has been replaced by the Qualcomm Snapdragon Pro S4. The slate is thinner and lighter than the original, is 80% faster and has 4X the graphics performance. Earlier today we told you that some retailers have been selling the tablet on Friday even though the launch date is actually July 30th. Which brings us to one of our loyal readers who managed to purchase one of the new Nexus 7 tablets from a GameStop today. After taking home the tablet and using it for 10 minutes, look at what happened to the Nexus name on the back of the tablet. As you probably know, ASUS is the company behind the Google Nexus 7, both the OG and the new versions of the slate. Those of you who watched the recent Google event live stream may have seen this already. Those who haven't may see it here – the first promo video for the new Nexus 7 tablet ! It looks like even retailers are getting excited about the new Nexus 7 tablet , because word has it that a number of Best Buy locations and other retailers have already started shipping pre-orders to customers, and some have put Google 's new tablet on store shelves a full four days before the official release date . It has been confirmed that Best Buy and Amazon are shipping any Nexus 7 orders being placed right now, so if you choose one day shipping from Amazon, you could have your new tablet on Monday, or you can opt for Saturday delivery and get it tomorrow. Certain Best Buy locations and Walmart locations have also put the tablet on store shelves, but not all are breaking the street date, so you may want to call first before running in. Other retail partners like B&H, RadioShack, GameStop, OfficeMax, and Staples all seem to be sticking to Google's launch date of July 30th.
