Merrick Garland Claims No Double Standard of Justice in Biden’s Doc Scandal

January 24, 2023 by www.breitbart.com Leave a Comment

Attorney General Merrick Garland, the nation’s chief law enforcement officer, claimed on Monday his department has not applied a double standard of justice to President Joe Biden’s classified document scandal after reportedly agreeing with Biden’s personal lawyers to hide the scandal from the American people. “We do not have different rules for Democrats or Republicans, different rules for the powerful or the powerless, different rules for the rich and for the poor, we apply the facts, and the law in each case in a neutral, non-partisan manner,” Garland alleged to reporters during a press availability at Justice Department headquarters. “That is what we always do.” But according to establishment media reports, along with examining the timeline of events, Garland appears to have handled the Mar-a-Lago raid much differently than the investigation of Biden. According to the Washington Post , not only did the White House and DOJ try to obscure the scandal from public view, but … [Read more...] about Merrick Garland Claims No Double Standard of Justice in Biden’s Doc Scandal

GOP Rep. Bacon Calls for Special Counsel on Pence Classified Documents

January 25, 2023 by www.breitbart.com Leave a Comment

Representative Don Bacon (R-NE) said Tuesday on NBC News’ “Meet The Press NOW” that Attorney General Merrick Garland should appoint a special counsel to investigate the discovery of classified documents in former Vice President Mike Pence’s home. Bacon said, “We have an epidemic of senior leaders taking classified documents home. And we have to say categorically, whether it’s Republican or Democrat, it’s all wrong. I do appreciate the fact Mike Pence leaned into it and was transparent right away, but we have a problem when we have a president, a vice president who is now president, and a vice president having classified in their homes.” He continued, “It shows carelessness, negligence, and I think Americans should be mad. That’s why it has to be researched and investigated.” Host Kristen Welker asked, “You say researched and investigated, given that do you think Merrick Garland should appoint a third special counsel to look into how classified material ended up at the Indiana … [Read more...] about GOP Rep. Nolte: Unlike Trump’s, Biden’s Classified Document Scandal Is Real

January 16, 2023 by www.breitbart.com Leave a Comment

Former President Donald Trump is embroiled in another Deep State frame-up job, this time over classified documents. Meanwhile, His Fraudulency Joe Biden is dealing with a legitimate classified document scandal. Before we go any further, I find all this “classified document” handwringing silly. Speaking objectively outside the tit-for-tat of partisan politics, everyone knows America goes overboard with that big, red CLASSIFIED stamp. Hey, and who can blame us? Stamping something CLASSIFIED has to feel pretty cool. Reading something stamped CLASSIFIED must feel even cooler. So why not stamp, stamp, stamp your way to that warm and fuzzy feeling of self-importance? Plus, by stamping everything CLASSIFIED, the Deep State can frame people for invented crimes, embarrass them politically, and meddle in elections. And we all know how much the FBI, NSA, CIA, and Homeland Security love to frame people to protect the Democrat party. Here’s my view of what’s happening to Trump: From what we … [Read more...] about Nolte: Unlike Trump’s, Biden’s Classified Document Scandal Is Real

Mitch McConnell: Biden Document Scandal Should Be Treated Like Trump

January 19, 2023 by www.breitbart.com Leave a Comment

Republican Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said that President Joe Biden’s mishandling of classified documents should be treated “exactly the same way” as they treated former President Donald Trump. The senator made his comments during an interview with Terry Meiners on Kentucky’s NewsRadio 840 WHAS in which he said Attorney General Merrick Garland made the correct decision to appoint Robert Hur as special counsel over mishandled classified documents from Joe Biden’s time as vice president that he kept in his Delaware home. “I think the attorney general probably did the right thing by having two special counsels,” McConnell said. “What’s good for one candidate for president ought to be good for another one.” U.S. President Donald Trump talks to the press as Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) looks on after the Republican luncheon at the U.S. Capitol Building on January 9, 2019, in Washington, DC. The DOJ sues Google for ad dominance, wants to break company up

January 24, 2023 by arstechnica.com Leave a Comment

It has been expected for some time, but today the Justice Department and eight states are suing Google over its purported domination of the online advertising market. The government has a problem with Google's position in "ad tech," or the tools used to automatically match advertisers with website publishers. To solve it, apparently, the DOJ has told Google it's considering breaking the company up. “Today’s complaint alleges that Google has used anticompetitive, exclusionary, and unlawful conduct to eliminate or severely diminish any threat to its dominance over digital advertising technologies,” said Attorney General Merrick Garland. “No matter the industry and no matter the company, the Justice Department will vigorously enforce our antitrust laws to protect consumers, safeguard competition, and ensure economic fairness and opportunity for all.” The press release gives a quick rundown of the DOJ's list of Google’s anticompetitive conduct: Acquiring Competitors: Engaging … [Read more...] about The DOJ sues Google for ad dominance, wants to break company up

NYC Islamic State Attacker Sayfullo Saipov Convicted, Could Face Death Penalty

January 26, 2023 by www.breitbart.com Leave a Comment

NEW YORK (AP) — An Islamic extremist who killed eight people with a speeding truck in a 2017 rampage on a popular New York City bike path was convicted Thursday of 28 federal crimes and could face the death penalty. Jurors deliberated for about seven hours over two days before finding Sayfullo Saipov guilty in a Halloween attack inspired by his reverence for the Islamic State militant group. The jury announced its verdict in a Manhattan courtroom just a few blocks from where Saipov’s attack ended. The dozen jurors convicted Sapoiv, 34, of crimes including murder in aid of racketeering and supporting a foreign terrorist organization. The jury will return to court within days to hear more evidence to help them decide whether he deserves to be executed or should spend the rest of his life in prison. A death sentence for Saipov, a citizen of Uzbekistan, would be an extreme rarity in New York. The state no longer has capital punishment and the last state execution was in 1963. A … [Read more...] about NYC Islamic State Attacker Sayfullo Saipov Convicted, Could Face Death Penalty

FBI brings down massive ransomware gang by “hacking the hackers”

January 27, 2023 by www.techspot.com Leave a Comment

What just happened? In what could be described as beautifully ironic, a notorious ransomware-as-a-service (RaaS) gang has been brought down after the FBI infiltrated its systems, disrupted operations, and seized its sites. Or, as the Deputy US Attorney General put it, they "hacked the hackers." Speaking at a news conference, US Attorney General Merrick Garland, FBI Director Christopher Wray, and Deputy U.S. Attorney General Lisa Monaco announced that the government secretly infiltrated the Hive ransomware gang's networks in July 2022 before launching a six-month monitoring operation. During this infiltration, the government was able to steal more than 300 decryption keys from Hive and distribute them to victims who were under attack, preventing around $130 million in ransom payments, including $5 million from a Texas school district. The feds also distributed over 1,000 additional decryption keys to previous Hive victims. The FBI used its access to Hive's infrastructure to warn … [Read more...] about FBI brings down massive ransomware gang by “hacking the hackers”
