Arrest made, suspect identified, charged in fatal shooting CHATTANOOGA — The suspect in Saturday's fatal shooting in the 7800 block of Basswood Drive has been identified as 23-year-old Jadarius Knox, according to Chattanooga police. The shooting happened around 3:45 p.m. Saturday. Chattanooga police responding to the scene found 21-year-old Aaron Biddle had succumbed to his injuries. Investigators determined a struggle had taken place before the shooting, police said. Knox was arrested at the scene Saturday. Knox has been charged with criminal homicide. President Donald Trump’s attacks on the mainstream media may be rooted in statistical reality: An extensive review of subscription data and election results shows that Trump outperformed the previous Republican nominee, Mitt Romney, in counties with the lowest numbers of news subscribers, but didn't do nearly as well in areas with heavier circulation. POLITICO’s findings — which put Trump’s escalating attacks on the media in a new context — were drawn from a comparison of election results and subscription information from the Alliance for Audited Media, an industry group that verifies print and digital circulation for advertisers. Three die in Alabama house fire SCOTTSBORO, Ala. — A house fire claimed the life of three people in Scottsboro, Ala., late last week, according to the Scottsboro Fire Department. Paula Smith, 70, of Scottsboro; Brian Smith, 41, of Section; and Jennifer Chapman, 43, of Scottsboro, were found in the lower level of a four-unit apartment building in the 200 block of Meadow Street, the news release said. Four other residents were in adjoining units at the time of the fire and were able to escape without serious injury. The 911 call came at 10:38 p.m. on Thursday, and firefighters found heavy smoke and fire showing from the apartment, as well as its roof. No working fire alarms were found in the apartment, but the preliminary investigation suggests the cause of the fire was accidental. According to the Alabama State Fire Marshal's website, this marks the 18th, 19th, and 20th fire- related deaths in Alabama since the beginning of the year. The new additions, ABC News Radio and sister channel Radio National, currently sit at the top of Featured Stations in Apple Music's Radio section and provide listeners with live streaming content around the clock. Like other live streaming selections, iOS and macOS users can access the new radio channels for free without an Apple Music subscription. Prior to the Apple Music integration, listeners looking to stream ABC programming on their iOS device were obliged to do so via the official ABC Listen app, which currently sits in the No. 3 spot for News apps on Australia's iOS App Store.
