There has been a buzz around a toned-down version of the OnePlus 9 smartphone — referred to as OnePlus 9 Lite — expected to be launched in March along with the OnePlus 9 and the OnePlus 9 Pro. But since the last couple of weeks, new names of the least powerful and therefore most affordable handset of the upcoming OnePlus 9 series have surfaced online. Some tipsters have referred to it as the OnePlus 9R while as per the latest leak, it may be called OnePlus 9e as well. A report by Techmaniacs has revealed what it claims to be the specs of the alleged OnePlus 9e. As per the report, the OnePlus 9e is expected to bear a model number LE2113. The device is said to house a 6.5-inch FHD+ display with 2400 × 1080 pixel resolution. The Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) has asked that the powers given to the minister responsible under the pending Critical Infrastructure Bill, which would allow them to step in when a cybersecurity incident has occurred, be further defined to take into account the impact on individuals' privacy. The Security Legislation Amendment (Critical Infrastructure) Bill 2020 introduces a government assistance regime that provides powers to protect assets during or following a significant cyber attack. This includes the power to authorise information gathering directions, action directions, and intervention requests. The Bill proposes that where an appropriate ministerial authorisation is in force, the Department of Home Affairs secretary can compel relevant entities to produce any information that may assist with determining whether power should be exercised in relation to the incident and asset in question. Lenovo, the Chinese technology company, has emerged as the market leader in the Indian tablet market during CY 2020 (Jan-Dec) according to data from the IDC Worldwide Quarterly Personal Computing Device Tracker. The Indian tablet market has seen shipments hit 2.8 million units leading to a growth of 14.7% year-over-year. “ It was a year of growth after declining for four consecutive years, mainly aided by the increased utility of tablets to support e-learning demand,” added the report. Lenovo maintained the market leader and saw a 6.6% growth in its shipments over 2019. Additionally, the company also saw the biggest consumer year with 153% YoY growth in 2020. At the same time, it witnessed a 15.1% decline in its commercial segment. Both Samsung and Apple ranked at second and third positions making gains. While Samsung gained in terms of shipments, Apple gained in terms of position in the Indian tablet market.
