Attorney General Merrick Garland, the nation’s chief law enforcement officer, claimed on Monday his department has not applied a double standard of justice to President Joe Biden’s classified document scandal after reportedly agreeing with Biden’s personal lawyers to hide the scandal from the American people. “We do not have different rules for Democrats or Republicans, different rules for the powerful or the powerless, different rules for the rich and for the poor, we apply the facts, and the law in each case in a neutral, non-partisan manner,” Garland alleged to reporters during a press availability at Justice Department headquarters. “That is what we always do.” But according to establishment media reports, along with examining the timeline of events, Garland appears to have handled the Mar-a-Lago raid much differently than the investigation of Biden. According to the Washington Post , not only did the White House and DOJ try to obscure the scandal from public view, but … [Read more...] about Merrick Garland Claims No Double Standard of Justice in Biden’s Doc Scandal

Google thinks a US Supreme Court case could radically change the internet
Audio player loading… Google has warned that a ruling against it in an ongoing Supreme Court (SC) case could put the entire internet at risk by removing a key protection against lawsuits over content moderation decisions that involve artificial intelligence (AI). Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act of 1996 (opens in new tab) currently offers a blanket ‘liability shield’ in regards to how companies moderate content on their platforms. However, as reported by CNN (opens in new tab) , Google wrote in a legal filing (opens in new tab) that, should the SC rule in favour of the plaintiff in the case of Gonzalez v. Schiff Placed on High-Profile Committee Where GOP Will Go After Biden
House Democrats tap Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) for the House Judiciary Committee, a high-profile committee investigating the Biden administration, after his being booted from the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI). Schiff — approved by the House this week — joined other Democrats on the Judiciary Committee, led by their ranking member, Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY), to presumably wage war on the Republicans on the committee while they investigate the Biden administration. Before he was placed on the Judiciary Committee, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) blocked Schiff’s appointment to the Intelligence Committee by Minority Leader Hakeem Jefferies (D-NY) to follow through on a promise he made before becoming Speaker. McCarthy, in December 2021, told Breitbart News’s Washington Bureau Chief, Matthew Boyle, during an exclusive long-form interview, that Schiff “knowingly… used a fake dossier” to lie to the American people. The Democrats, with Schiff, will … [Read more...] about Schiff Placed on High-Profile Committee Where GOP Will Go After Biden
Marilyn Manson Settles Sex Abuse Lawsuit from Actress Esme Bianco
LOS ANGELES (AP) — “Game of Thrones” actor Esmé Bianco has agreed to settle a federal lawsuit with rocker Marilyn Manson in which she alleged sexual, physical and emotional abuse, attorneys for both sides said Wednesday. Bianco reached the agreement in her lawsuit against Manson and his record company “in order to move on with her life and career,” lawyer Jay Ellwanger said in an email. Manson’s attorney Howard King also confirmed the agreement in an email. He previously said the actions alleged in the suit “simply never happened” and were “provably false.” In the lawsuit filed in federal court in Los Angeles in 2021, Bianco said Manson , whose legal name is Brian Warner, violated human trafficking law by bringing her to California from England in 2009 and 2011 under the false pretenses of roles in music videos and movies that never materialized. The suit alleged Manson deprived Bianco of food and sleep, gave her alcohol and drugs, locked her in a bedroom, whipped her, cut … [Read more...] about Marilyn Manson Settles Sex Abuse Lawsuit from Actress Esme Bianco
