They used fake websites, social-media posts, and staged interactions as part of an effort to influence the public perception of specific targets, the report said. The group tried numerous times to work with Donald Trump's campaign in 2016 and engaged in other efforts that targeted the US State Department, the report said. PR Israeli spyware was used to help track and eventually kill journalist Jamal Khashoggi, the NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden claims. Snowden alleged while speaking remotely at a security conference that Saudi agents bugged the phone of Khashoggi's close associate. They tracked Khashoggi's movements before eventually killing him at the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul. Saudi critic and internet personality Omar Abdulazizreportedly had his smartphone targeted by the Israeli spyware this year. Kaspersky Lab moving data out of Russia to combat Kremlin spy fears
Kaspersky Lab is moving its customers' data from Russia to Switzerland following allegations that the company's anti-virus software was used by the Kremlin to steal information from the US government. The $12m (£8.8m) move for the Moscow based company will see its core business transfer to Zurich and out of the rule of Russian law and intelligence agencies. It will also make its programming tools, which can be used to access customers’ computers, available for independent scrutiny by auditors. LG G7 spied at MWC and it’s yet another iPhone X rip-off
DESPITE RUMOURS that LG had cancelled its next G-Series flagship, the firm has been showing off a phone called the LG G7 at MWC. Israeli publication Ynet published a video of the device, that's clearly marked as the LG G7 and said to be codenamed 'Neo'. The phone, much like the Asus Zenfone 5 and upcoming OnePlus 6, has an iPhone X-like notch, which sits at the top of its 6in OLED display which boasts a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. An image of the rear of the device (above) shows off the handset's blue-hued glass black, which is home to a fingerprint sensor that sits underneath the camera. Ynet has also confirmed that the so-called G7 features two 16MP cameras on its rear, an 8MP front-facing camera, Qualcomm's Snapdragon 845 processor, a 3,000mAh battery, 4GB RAM and 64GB built-in storage.
