TyrionLannister (unregistered) Isn't that obvious. iOS devices perform the best at games. PowerVR graphics don't throttle at all + the resolutions are less to maintain good framerate + games are better optimized. posted on 22 Apr 2015, 04:14 13 16. Cazrack (Posts: 11; Member since: 22 Apr 2015) According to Gamebech 20. TyrionLannister (unregistered) That's not the reason. Some games are capped at 30 fps on the Galaxy S6, maybe to preserve battery life. That's degrading the performance. The GPU is easily capable to outperform the iPhone 6. 26. Cazrack (Posts: 11; Member since: 22 Apr 2015) Advanced 3g games does not run in 1440p but they run probably at 1080p twice the resolution of iPhone 6 720p, this cost a lot of fps but provides better image quality. 27. Iphone 6 too big
Apple may have announced a smaller iPhone 6 at its September keynote as previously rumored, but that didn’t stop the Cupertino-based company from introducing an enlarged version of the iPhone 6 too. Sporting a 5.5-inch Retina display and more advanced camera components, the aptly-titled iPhone 6 Plus looks like a capable contender in the burgeoning realm of phablets.Like its smaller sister phone, the sleek device includes an updated version of Apple’s 64-bit A8 processor and M8 co-processor, along with support of the 802.11ac wireless standard and NFC capabilities designed to make use of the forthcoming Apple Pay system. It also features more robust storage capacity and retains the fingerprint sensor first introduced in the iPhone 5s. Regardless of it’s merits, though, how does Apple’s latest big-screen endeavor compare when placed side-by-side with the Samsung’s promising Galaxy Note 4? The market has only just absorbed the newest offerings from Apple -- the iPhone 5c and iPhone 5s -- but already certain elements have started to get excited about the next, big smartphone thing coming out of Cupertino: an iPhone with a larger screen. The speculation was kicked off on Monday by a research note from analyst Peter Misek of Jefferies & Co. He raised his "hold" rating and US$450 target for Apple to a "buy" with a target of $600, in part over anticipation of the iPhone 6, which he said he has learned will sport a 4.8-inch screen. Its introduction, he said, will lead to a huge upgrade cycle for Apple."We think the 85 million iPhones eligible for an upgrade when the iPhone 6 launches (we think Apple is targeting Sep 2014) could be boosted by another 5-10 million from people who skipped the 5s/5c cycle," Misek wrote. "While we think a 4.8-inch screen iPhone could lead to Apple regaining share vs.Android, just the iPhone installed base refresh supports upside to St FY15 … [Read more...] about Rumored 4.8-Inch Screen Ignites iPhone 6 Speculation
With every new iPhone release, Apple delivers a handful of new iPhones to a select few industry journalists to review. How are those journalists and publications selected? First, they are known to appreciate the Apple aesthetic -- they have written dozens of positive reviews. No Apple haters allowed, which makes sense. It's important to set the stage for positive vibes when launching a new product -- a professional marketing launch with billions of dollars on the line is never organic. The reviewers also are under pressure to get their reviews written and out the door in a quick time frame -- about a week or less -- and they know there will be some high-powered competition as their review hits the Web. The challenge is to cover the bases and make some sort of opinionated statement -- but be careful with the negativity, because if you piss off Apple, you won't get future new Apple products ahead of time. You'll have to order them just like everyone else.(Oh what a fall from grace that … [Read more...] about OPINION Early iPhone 6 Reviewers Might as Well Be Rating Vacuum Cleaners
Another new Apple product, another "-gate" debacle. This time, it's bendgate. On the heels of the release of the new iPhone 6 and 6 Plus handsets earlier this month has come an uproar over an unexpected weakness: In short, when stashed in a pocket of a tight pair of pants, the iPhone 6 Plus bends -- and it doesn't return to its original shape when removed. The subject is fervently being discussed in social media, according to Brandwatch, which found more than 57,000 mentions of it online, primarily by male authors (76 percent compared to 24 percent female). Some of the more common observations have been that if the phone is in the pocket for too long it is more likely to bend and that it can also be bent with bare hands, according to Brandwatch.Another conversational strain has noted that the Samsung Galaxy Note surpassed the iPhone 6 in the bend test. Although the Note also bent under pressure, it was flexible enough to return to its original state when the pressure was released.Apple … [Read more...] about iPhone 6 Bendgate: The End of Tight Jeans?
