There is no Banking Crisis in Europe, French Finance Boss Insists

March 22, 2023 by www.breitbart.com Leave a Comment

Europe’s banking sector is not in crisis despite the collapse of two major players on the continent, a sector official in France has said. Despite claims to the contrary, Philippe Brassac, the head of the French Banking Federation (FBF), has insisted that there is no banking crisis currently plaguing Europe. The statement comes amid floundering investor confidence in European banking, with the collapse of major player Credit Suisse as well as the UK branch of the Silicon Valley Bank prompting concerns that the whole sector could be facing contagion. According to a report by Le Figaro , Brassac has rejected such a pessimistic outlook, insisting that problems with the current banking system are limited to the United States, and the European businesses in the sector will remain isolated from any issues. “There is no banking crisis,” the senior banker insisted regarding Europe, insisting that while “there are banks which are in difficulty”, these businesses are ultimately … [Read more...] about There is no Banking Crisis in Europe, French Finance Boss Insists

Google Pixel Superfans are getting exclusive invites to try out Bard – and I’m jealous

March 21, 2023 by www.techradar.com Leave a Comment

The AI chatbot race is well underway and companies are in a mad dash to shove quirky, sometimes snippy little chatbots into our lives as quickly as possible. ChatGPT burst through global consciousness and cemented itself as the chatbot to beat, quickly assimilated by Microsoft in its updated search engine, Bing . Not wanting to be left out, Google announced its AI champion, Bard, at an underwhelming launch event , followed by mixed messages and an obvious struggle to keep up. It’s hard to keep track of what is really going on with Google Bard , but it seems like its public debut may finally be imminent. Some members of Google’s Pixel Superfan program have apparently received an email offering them early access to Google Bard, spotted in a Reddit thread . In the invite below users can click on a link that’ll ask them to verify their email address and ‘hang tight’ until they follow up with further access instructions. The Superfan Program is for … [Read more...] about Google Pixel Superfans are getting exclusive invites to try out Bard – and I’m jealous

Danskerne er vilde med genbrug, men ikke når det gælder elektronik

March 20, 2023 by global.techradar.com Leave a Comment

Huawei’s Galaxy Z Fold 4 rival is about to launch, but the specs have already leaked

March 22, 2023 by www.techradar.com Leave a Comment

Huawei is launching the foldable Huawei Mate X3 tomorrow (March 23) alongside the flagship Huawei P60 , but, as is often the case with smartphone launches, there might not be much to reveal, as many of the Huawei Mate X3’s specs have already been leaked. The latest on that front comes from reputable leaker Digital Chat Station (opens in new tab) , who, posting on Weibo (via GSMArena (opens in new tab) ), claims that the Mate X3 has a 7.8-inch foldable screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, along with a triple-lens camera setup that includes a 50MP primary sensor and a periscope zoom lens. They also claim that the Huawei Mate X3 offers wireless charging and IPX8 water resistance, meaning it’s got the same sort of water resistance rating as most high-end phones, but no dust resistance. This is also the same rating as the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 have. Finally, Digital Chat Station claims that the hinge will allow this phone to open at … [Read more...] about Huawei’s Galaxy Z Fold 4 rival is about to launch, but the specs have already leaked

LG’s new G3 OLED TV isn’t just brighter, it’s also eco-friendly

March 22, 2023 by www.techradar.com Leave a Comment

I seemingly can’t go a week without gushing about the upcoming LG G3 OLED. Not only is it one of the brightest and best OLED TVs we’ve ever gone hands on with, but thanks to a refined production process, it’s also better for the environment than your average LCD/LED panel. Part of the reason the LG G3 OLED TV can get so bright is thanks to its new MLA panel. If you’re not up to speed on current A/V acronyms, that stands for ‘ Micro Lens Array ’. The process is obscenely techy – it involves microscopic convex lenses being placed across every pixel of a traditional OLED panel – but the easy to explain upside is a brighter TV that’s also more energy efficient. And it’s that latter quality we should really be applauding LG Display for. The South Korean company is currently the sole manufacturer of OLED panels, and recently, the LG G3 OLED was awarded the Carbon Footprint Certification from the Carbon Trust. This means the LG G3 meets the global standard on Greenhouse Gas … [Read more...] about LG’s new G3 OLED TV isn’t just brighter, it’s also eco-friendly

It Takes a Village: 100+ NVIDIA MLOps and AI Platform Partners Help Enterprises Move AI Into Production

March 22, 2023 by blogs.nvidia.com Leave a Comment

Building AI applications is hard. Putting them to use across a business can be even harder. Less than one-third of enterprises that have begun adopting AI actually have it in production, according to a recent IDC survey . Businesses often realize the full complexity of operationalizing AI just prior to launching an application. Problems discovered so late can seem insurmountable, so the deployment effort is often stalled and forgotten. To help enterprises get AI deployments across the finish line, more than 100 machine learning operations ( MLOps ) software providers are working with NVIDIA. These MLOps pioneers provide a broad array of solutions to support businesses in optimizing their AI workflows for both existing operational pipelines and ones built from scratch. Many NVIDIA MLOps and AI platform ecosystem partners as well as DGX-Ready Software partners, including Canonical, ClearML, Dataiku, Domino Data Lab, Run:ai and Weights & Biases, are building solutions … [Read more...] about It Takes a Village: 100+ NVIDIA MLOps and AI Platform Partners Help Enterprises Move AI Into Production
