Report: Loans to Silicon Valley Bank Insiders Tripled to Record High as Collapse Loomed

Following the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank, reviews of the company’s internal practices have revealed that loans to insiders tripled to $219 million before the bank failed. Bloomberg reports that last month, Silicon Valley Bank failed as a result of a $42 billion bank run from investors and depositors. The bank’s internal problems have come to light due to the collapse, and regulators are starting to look closely at the bank’s operations before its demise. Texas Border Town Cops Find Migrants Stuffed in Suitcases

EAGLE PASS, Texas – Local police arrested a human smuggler after discovering two migrants crammed into luggage in the suspect’s vehicle. The 23-year-old suspected smuggler from San Antonio was accompanied by her five-month-old infant. The bust occurred on Saturday afternoon near the Rio Grande. Police initially noticed a suspicious vehicle at Jando Guedea Park in the afternoon hours. Officers stopped the vehicle after the driver committed a motor vehicle infraction. Police interviewed the driver identified as Brianna Nicole Starkes. Police say she appeared nervous and gave inconsistent answers. Police were reportedly then given permission to search the beige Kia Soul. Officers noticed suitcases in the vehicle. One was located next to the five-month-old infant secured in a car seat. Huawei’s Galaxy Z Fold 4 rival is about to launch, but the specs have already leaked

Huawei is launching the foldable Huawei Mate X3 tomorrow (March 23) alongside the flagship Huawei P60 , but, as is often the case with smartphone launches, there might not be much to reveal, as many of the Huawei Mate X3’s specs have already been leaked. The latest on that front comes from reputable leaker Digital Chat Station (opens in new tab) , who, posting on Weibo (via GSMArena (opens in new tab) ), claims that the Mate X3 has a 7.8-inch foldable screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, along with a triple-lens camera setup that includes a 50MP primary sensor and a periscope zoom lens. They also claim that the Huawei Mate X3 offers wireless charging and IPX8 water resistance, meaning it’s got the same sort of water resistance rating as most high-end phones, but no dust resistance. Border Patrol Agent Shoots at Human Smuggler After Assault in Texas, Says Source

EAGLE PASS, Texas — A Del Rio Sector Border Patrol agent reportedly shot at a suspected human smuggler after the suspect allegedly attempted to strike the agent with the vehicle. The incident took place along the Texas border with Mexico near Eagle Pass. A source operating under the umbrella of U.S. Customs and Border Protection told Breitbart Texas that a suspected human smuggler attempted to back his vehicle into a Del Rio Sector agent late Monday night. The smuggler then reportedly attempted to flee from the agent. The Border Patrol agent then shot at the suspect to stop the assault, according to the source. It is not clear how many shots were fired.  EMS personnel transported an unidentified injured person from the vehicle to an area hospital. The injuries are reportedly not related to the shooting. The driver was not the injured party. The shooting took place on the north side of the border town of Eagle Pass on Thompson Ranch Road. Epson unveils its most sustainable business printers ever

Epson has released what it calls its “most seriously sustainable, feature-rich range of business color copiers.” The company's new WorkForce Enterprise AM-Series inkjet printers claim to be more energy efficient, less wasteful, and overall a better long-term commitment for buyers and the environment. BT has announced a significant investment into a joint project with Amazon Web Services (AWS), aiming to bring 5G and 4G mobile edge computing services to UK business customers.
