The 2018 Xtreme Eating Awards were announced Thursday, with the Center for Science in the Public Interest — the folks who branded fettuccine alfredo a “heart attack on a plate” back in the day — bestowing “honors” on eight restaurant dishes that are over the top in every way imaginable. Take the Breakfast Burrito from the Cheesecake Factory, for example. Sounds benign on the face of it — an eggy, protein-packed way to start the day, right?
