YouTube finally added HDR support for Xbox Console. The feature is now available on new generation Xbox One S and Xbox One X along with the latest-generation Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X consoles, according to the YouTube support page. The support page also confirms that the maximum resolution for videos depends upon the console you are using. The latest generation Xbox One X supports 4K HDR at 60fps, while the Xbox One S will deliver only 1440p HDR at 60 fps. Tech website engadget.com tested the feature on Xbox One console and it confirms that the console now streams PQ Rec.2020 HDR format via VP9-2 codec.
