If you’re in college, chances are you’re overwhelmed by rising tuition and textbook costs.  Here’s how you can get a little break with absolutely free development and design software from Microsoft via DreamSpark. Although many students still don’t know of it, DreamSpark has been offering free Microsoft software to students since 2008.  Similar to MSDNAA, students can download and use software for educational and personal use entirely for free, except with DreamSpark, all students are eligible.  DreamSpark has recently expanded it’s offerings with training and access to the Windows Mobile Marketplace.  Let’s look at how you can take advantage of these offerings if you’re a student. After Mass Layoffs, Zuckerberg Says Meta Focused on ‘Efficiency’

Facebook parent Meta had a rough 2022. The social media giant laid off thousands of workers , reported its first revenue drop and saw a decline in daily active users on Facebook . Now Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg says the company is focusing heavily on efficiency in 2023 as it continues to invest in the metaverse and artificial intelligence. For the last 18 years, the social network has grown rapidly, but it's entering a new phase, Zuckerberg said. "It's very hard to really crank on efficiency while you're growing that quickly and I just think we're in a different environment now," he said during a call with analysts on Wednesday after Meta reported better-than-expected revenue in the fourth quarter. If the company becomes more efficient, he said, Meta will be able to do better product work and become a more fun place to work because employees will get more done. India will set up 100 5G labs to develop new apps, services: FM during Union Budget

As telecom operators roll out 5G services in India, the central government has announced plans to set up 100 labs in the top engineering institutions across the country to develop apps and services for the next-generation network. "To realise new opportunities, business models and employment potential, the 5G labs will cover applications such as smart classrooms, precision farming, intelligent transport systems and healthcare applications," said finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman in her Union Budget 2023-24 speech. India rolled out 5G services in October last year. Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel have launched 5G in more than 200 cities and towns across India.
