Last month Electronic Arts released a standalone gameplay beta for FIFA Mobile, and it would appear many of the changes tested in that beta have finally made their way to the official FIFA Mobile. Along with the start of a new season, you can expect a new engine, a new VIP program, and plenty of other enhancements over last year's seasonal update. The beginning of a new season can be a contentious time, as many players are finding out. Much of their previous work has been erased, including their player level, roster, coins, boost progression, VS attack progression, achievements, trophy room, and league record. But all is not lost. EA has been so kind as to allow players to keep their FIFA point balance, Now and Later packs, and user logos. As you can imagine, the latest reviews on the FIFA Mobile Play Store listing are pretty negative. It would seem people don't like losing almost everything they worked hard for in the last year, not to mention paid for, all in one fell swoop. If … [Read more...] about FIFA Mobile update brings new season and engine

FIFA 19 has only been out a few days, and EA has already patched it to fix some bugs and address some concerns. The patch is currently being tested on PC and is expected to hit consoles any day now. The changes are mostly dealing with things outside matches as the FIFA 19 development team is "planning on limiting changes to Gameplay... in an effort to keep the balance and feel of the game consistent." FIFA 19’s Ultimate Team is a popular mode in the long-running soccer franchise and with good reason. Players get total control over their squad formations, coaching, transfers, and game strategies. It can be a bit overwhelming for those new to the mode, but our FIFA 19 Ultimate Team guide will tell you everything you need to know to get started, from how to earn card packs to completing objectives. The basics Ultimate Team is a personalized, card-based mode unlike anything else in the game. Instead of choosing a pre-made team or drafting players, you build your team using cards, which you purchase using either in-game currency or real money. As you improve your team, you can choose to enter single-player leagues, tournaments, or special Squad Battles. You can also take the game online to compete against other players. Everything you do earns you more points that can be used to improve your team, and when you find a player who doesn’t have a role in your squad … [Read more...] about Master ‘FIFA 19’ Ultimate Team with our beginner’s guide
EA announced the World Cup event for FIFA Mobile. The event lets you play as either a qualified or non-qualified nation and go through the World Cup. The World Cup event is available as an update. Even though the U.S. sadly did not qualify for this year’s World Cup, I can take some solace in knowing that I can play as the beleaguered squad in FIFA Mobile’s new World Cup event. Available in the game’s latest update, the World Cup event lets you play as one of 32 qualifying nations and take it through a campaign. If you select one of the 16 non-qualified nations, you must complete an additional qualification campaign chapter. Rewards remain consistent across all 48 nations, so do not worry about nation-specific rewards. As with the real-world World Cup, you must proceed through the group stage and qualifiers. You need a minimum of two wins to advance from the group stage, and you must restart your World Cup run if you do not win at least two games. Qualifiers, … [Read more...] about Why wait for the real World Cup when FIFA Mobile lets you play it right now?
