As if the Google Pixel 2 and Google Pixel 2 XL needed more problems, word came out the other day about a number of issues that consumers were having with the Google Store trade-in program. Under the terms of the plan, Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL buyers would receive credit for trading-in older handsets in working condition. The amount of the credit received depended on the model of the phone sent in. The 2016 Google Pixel XL was on the top of the list with the 128GB model valued at $410 in a trade.Unfortunately, there were several screw ups, with several buyers participating in the program receiving a smaller credit than originally quoted. One person trading in a Pixel XL, expecting a $400 credit, was told that he sent in a Huawei built Nexus 6P and had the original $400 credit sliced to $165. Others sent in phones in absolutely perfect working condition, only to receive correspondence that suggests otherwise. Others had the amount of their trade-in reduced because they sent in the device … [Read more...] about Google says its has fixed the problems with its Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL trade-in program

This year however, HTC made the Pixel 2 and LG (who made the Nexus 4,5, and 5x) created the Pixel 2XL. The XL version has received negative feedback only. It's a real shame because the HTC U11+ was meant to be the XL variant. Maybe karma for Google 4. roldefol (Posts: 4674; Member since: 28 Jan 2011) I think Google either wanted an 18:9 AMOLED and Samsung wouldn't supply one, or they really really wanted an LG OLED. You know they're kicking themselves now. 9. A video out of Vietnam confirms what many users of the Microsoft Lumia 535 have been complaining about; the phone's touch screen is just too sensitive. Does that mean that the screen cried because you called it fat? No. The sensitivity that we are talking about has to do with how the screen tracks your fingers when you touch the glass. As the video shows, multi-touch is one of the problems facing users of the Lumia 535. The problem with the touch screen on the handset, could make it hard for users to employ Word Flow. The latter is the Swype-style swipe to type feature available on Windows Phone 8.1.Microsoft says that it is aware of the problem, and is working on a software update that will fix the issue. In the meantime, some Lumia 535 users say that they have been able to improve the sensitivity of the screen by turning off the Screen Magnifier, which just so happens to be on by default. To turn this feature off, go to Settings >Ease of Access.Does your Microsoft Lumia 535 suffer … [Read more...] about Microsoft Lumia 535 touch screen is too sensitive; upcoming software update will fix the problem

Also they had something in the kernal that told the OS to flip the display image 180 degrees. It was intentional. posted on 01 Jul 2017, 04:11 3 10. you_sukk_it (banned) (Posts: 219; Member since: 11 Apr 2017) how they downplay everything. … [Read more...] about Comments for : OnePlus promises to fix the jelly effect on the OnePlus 5, but can it really?
Struggling Chinese conglomerate LeEco has resurfaced to support an upcoming Kickstarter campaign, of all things, for a hybrid skateboard-scooter. The Scooterboard, as it’s known, is a lightweight, foldable, electric lean-to-steer rideable with a stated maximum speed of 15.5 mph and a range of 9.3 miles. The design features a single curved handle with three wheels that kind of looks like your grandparent’s orthopedic crutch. The team behind Scooterboard, San Diego-based InMotion, say the idea originated when its founders struggled to ride electric skateboards — the Scooterboard, they say, can be learned in “a single session.” The rideable has dual brakes — both an electronic brake and a mechanical one. The handle allows riders to control the throttle and the electric brake with one hand, and its tires are what the company calls “explosion proof.” There’s no such disclaimer for the battery however, which have a history of exploding on … [Read more...] about This crowdfunded scooter is trying to fix the problem with electric skateboards
