I don't use Office on the go to do heavy-duty work. I use Office frequently to manage an American football team I coach. I track our budget and depth charts in Excel, I create our fundraising documents in Word, and PowerPoint is there if I need to make a presentation for a school or organization I'm building a partnership with. US-based chipmaker Qualcomm may be about to suffer a setback and that may be at the hands of Chinese smartphone makers including Oppo and OnePlus. It seems like Oppo and OnePlus are said to join Samsung, Huawei and Apple by launching its own chipsets that may power all future handsets from these Chinese smartphone players. Till now, Oppo has used both MediaTek as well as Qualcomm SoCs for its smartphones. As per a report by CNBeta, the leadership team at Oppo has been circulating an internal memo about “Mariana Plan” that is said to be about these in-house chipsets. The project is being taken care by a committee that is being chaired by an ex-technical director at Qualcomm, Chen Yan, who is the director of the Oppo chip platform department and former head of Oppo’s software research center.
