Crowdfunding platform GoFundMe says it has raised more than $800,000 for the victims of violence stemming from the Charlottesville, Virginia rally this past weekend, according to The Washington Post . The money has been raised for the medical expenses of counter-protestors who were injured by white supremacists, neo-Nazis, and other hate groups who were marching in the “Unite the Right” event dedicated to preserving a statue of Confederate General Robert E. Lee. The rally resulted in the death of one woman, Heather Heyer, and injuries to dozens of other counter-protestors. One victim, 46-year-old Tyler Magill, suffered a stroke as a result of a physical attack from a white nationalist participate and is expected to need speech therapy and other forms of physical rehabilitation. Reliance Jio may soon launch a low-cost laptop. According to a XDA report, the laptop may be called the JioBook . It is said to run on custom Android OS- JioOS. The laptop is also expected to come with 4G LTE connectivity support. Initial reports of Jio working on a laptop dates back to the year 2018 when The Economic Times reported that Reliance Jio is in talks with Qualcomm to launch laptops with cellular connectivity. Nearly three years later, the partnership seems to conceptualise as JioBook. As per the latest report, Jio started working on the Jio low-cost laptop in September last year. It has partnered with China-based Bluebank Communication Technology to develop the laptop. The laptop’s development stage is likely to continue in the first half of 2021. The product is expected to enter the PVT, or Product Validation Test, stage of the product development cycle by mid-April this year. The White House is closely tracking an emergency patch Microsoft Corp has released, U.S. national security adviser Jake Sullivan said on Thursday, after an unknown hacking group recently broke into organizations using a flaw in the company's mail server software. "We are closely tracking Microsoft's emergency patch for previously unknown vulnerabilities in Exchange Server software and reports of potential compromises of U.S. think tanks and defense industrial base entities," Jake Sullivan, President Joe Biden's national security adviser, said on Twitter. "We encourage network owners to patch ASAP," he said. His tweet included a link to a notice by Microsoft of the security update.
