Despite her own political enemies in Italy denouncing such claims as “absolutely fake news”, the establishment media has doubled down on the claim that relatively straightforward Christian conservative leader Giorgia Meloni is in fact a reincarnation of Italy’s fascist wartime leader. Not sure what to think of the likely new conservative prime minister of Italy, Giorgia Meloni? Worry not! The corporate media has already provided the talking point for you to accept and parrot. Repeated literally hundreds of times on U.S. and international television in the past 48 hours, nobody on earth can now claim to be ignorant that Italy is backsliding into literal fascism. Everybody knows that. Except, inconveniently, actual front-line experts on Italian politics. Like Italy’s former Prime Minister Matteo Renzi — a left-leaning globalist who you could absolutely rely on to be as uncharitable about his right-wing opponents as possible — who called this line of attack against Meloni … [Read more...] about WATCH: Scripted Reality – Parrot Media Goes All in on Mussolini Smear

AI-generated art is super fun to play with, but beyond coming up with wacky prompts, what are the actual practical uses? We’ll show you some creative examples of things you can do with AI art. Who Owns AI-Generated Art? First, let’s talk about who actually owns art generated by AI. This is a very complicated topic that we don’t really have a good answer to yet. You come up with the prompts and commands that result in the end product, but you’re not directly creating the actual art on the screen/page. So who was the artist in that situation? Both parties are integral in the creation of the art. On some level, you can think of the AI as simply a tool, like a paintbrush. You can’t make a painting without a paintbrush, but, of course, the AI is doing much more “work” than a paintbrush. What do the AI services have to say about it? OpenAI, the owners of the popular DALL-E 2, says it “retains ownership of the original image.” Whereas Stable Diffusion is freely available … [Read more...] about What Can You Do With AI Generated Art?
President Joe Biden’s foreign policy advisers are concerned that a victory by Italian leader Giorgia Meloni could weaken the united European coalition pushing back against Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Meloni represents a populist-nationalist shift in power after Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi sought to align Italy with the European Union and teamed up with the G7 nations to push back against Russian President Vladimir Putin. Politico’s Jonathan Lemire reports that Biden aides are worried that Meloni could turn Italy inward as Europe faces a difficult winter with high energy prices, the result of the West trying to punish Putin for invading Ukraine. Meloni has voiced her support for Ukraine and criticized Russia’s invasion, but analysts fret that the more populist-nationalist coalition in Italy will pivot away from their support of sanctions on Russia. Giorgia Meloni, a rising star in conservative Europe, appeared at CPAC in 2022 and condemned Russia for invading … [Read more...] about WH Worried Italy’s Giorgia Meloni May Weaken Biden’s European Coalition
Hurricane Ian continued to intensify on Monday night and reached sustained winds of 125 mph as its center passed across the western edge of Cuba. From there, the storm will move into the southeastern Gulf of Mexico, where very warm water and low wind shear will allow for further intensification. The hurricane has been moving around the western edge of a high pressure system, but as Ian approaches the western coast of Florida on Wednesday it will start to run into a trough of low pressure draped across the southeastern United States. The net effect of this will cause Ian to slow down, perhaps only moving a few miles per hour for a couple of days. All of this is a recipe for disaster for much of the Florida peninsula, but it's difficult to say precisely where, and precisely which effects. Even though landfall is expected to occur in less than two days, there remains considerable uncertainty in where Ian will make landfall along the western Florida coast, and where it will go. This is … [Read more...] about Ian reaches major hurricane status, will be a historic storm for Florida

A battle is shaping up in Europe between Google and the major telecom companies of that continent, as the European Commission weighs the question of forcing Big Tech to fund the companies’ network costs. European telecom giants including Orange, Deutsche Telekom, and Telefonica, allege that Google is “free riding” on their networks and ought to pay their fair share, but Google is pushing back.
