India ’s fixed communication services revenue is expected to touch $13.9 billion in 2027 growing at a compound annual growth rate ( CAGR ) of 6.4% from $10.2 billion in 2022 driven by the strong growth in the fixed broadband segment, data and analytics firm GlobalData . After weeks of speculation , 2023’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) has officially been canceled by organizers. E3 had been expected to commence on June 13, with a return to an in-person event for the first time since 2020. Once considered a landmark on the gaming industry’s yearly calendar, E3 had struggled to regain its footing following a string of Covid-related disruptions. First canceling due to the pandemic in 2020, E3 returned as a virtual event in 2021, before being forced to cancel again the following year. The news of the event’s cancelation for 2023 comes as little surprise following a spate of big-name withdrawals from the event, with the likes of Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo and Sega having all announced that they would no longer take part. Daredevil: Born Again star Vincent D'Onofrio has seemingly revealed that a second season of the Marvel TV show is already in development. D'Onofrio's claim comes two weeks after the show's first season began filming. A long while back, Toyota told me it didn't want to give up interior real estate to Apple’s CarPlay. The automaker felt that losing that space to the tech company would be a huge mistake. Fast forward a few years, and after what I assume were some internal struggles, it caved and now you can get CarPlay and Android Auto on your fancy new Highlander, Prius, Tacoma, or Camry. It seemed like a silly decision had been reversed. Now it’s GM’s turn to go down the same path. Today, news dropped that GM would be phasing out CarPlay support in future EVs . In its partnership with Google, it hopes that all the features you get from mirroring your iPhone can be replaced with an Android Automotive feature . GM, like Toyota before it, wants to control the digital real estate in its vehicles. It’s a revenue-based and walled-garden (ironically against Apple) decision that will cost them.
