What just happened? Elon Musk has once again confirmed he will keep supporting and buying Dogecoin, despite facing a $258 billion lawsuit that claims the world's richest man and his companies ran a pyramid scheme to push up the crypto's price before letting it crash. Musk's relationship with Dogecoin hasn't been the smoothest. He tweeted a dog meme with the caption "Dogecoin rulz" in April 2019 and sent its value skyrocketing in December 2020 with a "One Word: Doge" tweet. The billionaire pushed the crypto even higher in April last year by referring to himself as "The Dogefather." But Musk crashed the price of Doge after calling the crypto a "hustle" on Saturday Night Live. He also went on a Twitter rant against Dogecoin's co-creator, Jackson Palmer, who said the Tesla boss is a "grifter." Musk is also facing a $258 billion lawsuit launched against himself, Tesla, and SpaceX over claims they ran a pyramid scheme to support Dogecoin. But it seems Musk isn't going to stop … [Read more...] about Elon Musk says he continues to support and buy Dogecoin, despite the $258 billion lawsuit

musk: Where is Elon Musk as America faces biggest issues of its times
At a time when the US is facing several major issues like banning of abortion by the Supreme Court , as well as the first significant law over gun control, Elon Musk , known to tweet much frequently, has turned unusually silent since a week. Tesla CEO Elon Musk , who made a whopping $44 billion deal, has been quiet on the social media platform since last tweeting on June 21, the Street reported. Musk, the world's richest man, often remains in news for his updates on his ventures such as SpaceX, Neuralink and The Boring Co. He is also known to comment on politics, pop culture and world events. Prior to June 21, Musk made comments about cheese, supported Dogecoin, congratulated Tesla's Berlin gigafactory, and also posted views of SpaceX and Twitter. Earlier, he has also tweeted on population decline in Japan, Italy, South Korea, Hong Kong, China , and the US. army: Why hackers posted videos of Elon Musk on British Army’s Twitter and YouTube channels
Hackers infiltrated the British Army 's Twitter and YouTube accounts to promote cryptocurrency scams and on YouTube, they replaced the British Army's videos with old livestreams featuring Tesla CEO Elon Musk and former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey . The UK Ministry of Defence confirmed in a tweet late on Sunday that they were aware of a breach of the Army's Twitter and YouTube accounts and an investigation was underway. "The Army takes information security extremely seriously and is resolving the issue. Until their investigation is complete it would be inappropriate to comment further," the Ministry further posted. Both the social media accounts were later restored. "The breach of the Army's Twitter and YouTube accounts that occurred earlier today has been resolved and an investigation is underway," the Ministry said on Monday. The hacked Twitter account posted various retweets for NFT giveaways, and its pinned tweet linked users to a fake NFT minting … [Read more...] about army: Why hackers posted videos of Elon Musk on British Army’s Twitter and YouTube channels
boring company: Elon Musk’s Boring Company wants to dig tunnel under Tesla Gigafactory Texas
Tech billionaire Elon Musk 's Boring Company has applied to dig a tunnel under Tesla Gigafactory Texas in Austin , however, it is unclear what they plan to do with it. The Boring Company has been in discussions with the state and municipal governments for several projects since moving to Texas, but as far as we know, they have not moved forward with any of them until now, reports the auto-tech website Electrek . Now, the company has applied with the city of Austin to build a tunnel on the Tesla Gigafactory Texas property for the project "Colorado River Connector Tunnel". The applicant has proposed a private access tunnel along with associated improvements, the report said. The Boring Company's main project is its "loop" in Las Vegas. A Boring Company loop is a system of tunnels in which Tesla electric vehicles move people between stations to avoid surface traffic -- much like a subway but with smaller vehicles that have more flexibility about … [Read more...] about boring company: Elon Musk’s Boring Company wants to dig tunnel under Tesla Gigafactory Texas
Elon Musk’s Twitter chaos is consuming SpaceX too
It’s always fun to check in with SpaceX, Elon Musk’s least dysfunctional company — oh wait, what’s this? The workers at SpaceX are upset? Last week, as first reported by The Verge , a group of SpaceX workers wrote a letter to Musk about his tweets. “Elon’s behavior in the public sphere is a frequent source of distraction and embarrassment for us, particularly in recent weeks,” the letter states. “As our CEO and most prominent spokesperson, Elon is seen as the face of SpaceX — every Tweet that Elon sends is a de facto public statement by the company. It is critical to make clear to our teams and to our potential talent pool that his messaging does not reflect our work, our mission, or our values.” The plan was to hand-deliver signatures of those who agreed with the letter to SpaceX president Gwynne Shotwell, who effectively runs the company. Sure, Musk’s title is CEO, but he’s largely a spokesmodel (although I suppose he’s probably also taken on the project of berating the … [Read more...] about Elon Musk’s Twitter chaos is consuming SpaceX too
Elon Musk now has over 100 million Twitter followers
Elon Musk just passed the 100 million follower mark on Twitter, becoming the sixth user on the platform to reach a nine-digit follower count. According to SocialBlade , Musk hit the milestone sometime between June 26th and June 27th, gaining over 150,000 followers between the two days. As of this writing, Musk now has 100,059,886 followers. Hitting the milestone is interesting for a couple of reasons. First is the obvious fact that Musk is currently in the process of buying Twitter for $44 billion , which could eventually put him in the unique position of being the only leader of a major social media network who’s actually good at using their social media network. In contrast, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s Facebook page is broadly a feed of press releases, while Instagram head Adam Mosseri has a similarly saccharine presence on the platform he manages . Musk is an entirely different beast. Here’s how my colleague Elizabeth Lopatto recently described his Twitter persona: … [Read more...] about Elon Musk now has over 100 million Twitter followers
Starlink Explained: Everything to Know About Elon Musk’s Satellite Internet Venture
When you think of billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk , chances are high that you think of his electric car company Tesla , his space exploration venture SpaceX , or his bid to take control of Twitter . Perhaps it's his history of stirring up controversy on social media or smoking weed with Joe Rogan that comes to mind. Maybe you just know him as one of the richest people on Earth . Something you might be less familiar with is Starlink , a venture from Musk that aims to sell internet connections to almost anyone on the planet by way of a growing network of private satellites orbiting overhead. After years of development within SpaceX -- and after securing nearly $885.5 million in grant funds from the Federal Communications Commission at the end of 2020 -- Starlink picked up the pace in 2021. In January, after three years' worth of successful launches, the project had surpassed 1,000 satellites delivered into orbit. Elon Musk’s ‘Teslas in Tunnels’ Las Vegas project is still happening, and here’s the first station
The first passenger station in the “Vegas Loop” network of vehicle tunnels that’s being built by Elon Musk’s Boring Company was revealed Thursday. The station is situated underneath Resorts World Las Vegas, the first in what is expected to be 55 stops along 29 miles of tunnels. The Boring Company already operates a small version of this “Teslas in Tunnels” system underneath the Las Vegas Convention Center, which opened in early 2021 and involves two 0.8-mile tunnels. Afterward, Musk’s startup proposed a massive citywide expansion that was eventually approved by Clark County officials last year. The system uses human-controlled Model X and Y vehicles to transport passengers, despite Musk’s previous statements about using sleds to carry cars through the tunnels. Dubbed the Vegas Loop, the system will allow passengers to hitch rides in Teslas to and from places like the hotel casinos on the Las Vegas Strip, the city’s new football stadium, the Las Vegas Convention Center, and … [Read more...] about Elon Musk’s ‘Teslas in Tunnels’ Las Vegas project is still happening, and here’s the first station
