Introduction It’s time to face off Huawei’s and Google’s flagship smartphones, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro and Google Pixel 3 XL. Both of these phones were announced in Q3 this year, October, to be more accurate, and they are quite different, actually, both in terms of their design and internals. One thing is for sure, though, both of these phones are quite compelling, and do have some advantages one over the other, as is the case with all phones we compare. Having said that, it’s time to find out which is a better phone overall. Before we start, do keep in mind these are our opinions, which are mostly based on our time spent with both devices, your opinions may differ, of course. In any case, let’s kick things off by comparing their specs, as per usual. Specifications Design As far as the design is concerned, Huawei and Google took a rather different approach one compared to the other. When it comes to getting the best smartphone for the least amount of money, very few phones can compete with the OnePlus 6T. With a premium build, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and OnePlus’ awesome OxygenOS skin, it’s a solid buy starting at only $550. However, the Google Pixel 3 XL is the latest smartphone from Google itself, the emperor of Android. It has many of the features the 6T has and then some. It starts at a whopping $900, going all the way as high as $1,000 for the variant with 128GB of storage.Let’s see what happens when we put the two devices up against each other in this OnePlus 6T vs. Google Pixel 3 XL comparison. Design The OnePlus 6T and Google Pixel 3 XL are mostly made of the same material: glass. On the back, the Pixel 3 XL has a two-tone design, similar to the Google Pixel 2, though it’s only one slab of glass across the whole back this time. Compact yet powerful True flagship It's a relatively small phone, but the Pixel 3 has all of the same features and power of the larger 3 XL. The 5.5-inch 18:9 display looks great, and makes the phone compact enough for anyone to use with one hand. The only potential downside here is a smaller-than-average 2915mAh battery. $799 at Google Store Pros Easily usable in one hand Stereo speakers Wireless charging Cons No headphone jack Battery on the small side Google took the Pixel 2 XL's body and fit a much larger 6.3-inch 18.5:9 display — and it's not all about size, the display is dramatically better as well. The rest of the phone builds on all of Google's strengths: simple hardware, capable specs, smooth software and an amazing camera experience front and back. It even has a sizable 3430mAh battery inside. $899 at Google Store Pros Huge screen Stereo speakers Wireless charging Sizable battery Cons No headphone jack Very large display notch Google does a great … [Read more...] about Google Pixel 3 vs. Google Pixel 3 XL: Which should you buy?
Garmin isn’t about to let Fitbit snatch up all of the holiday fitness sales without a fight. At IFA in Berlin Thursday, Garmin unveiled the Vivosmart 4, which builds on the new design Garmin introduced with last year’s model while also giving it some new smarts and sensors you wouldn’t normally find on a $129 fitness tracker. Here's how the two devices stack up:Garmin Vivosmart 4 vs. Fitbit Charge 3: Design and displayBoth the Vivosmart 4 and Charge 3 have vertical screens and buttonless bracelet designs, and both are made to have appeal beyond athletes. Last year’s Vivosmart 3 emphasized fitness over fashion, but the fourth-generation model is much sleeker, with a metal frame around the screen and a slimmer design. Size-wise, the two devices are similar, though the Vivosmart is definitely smaller:Vivosmart 4 Height: 10.5mm Width: 15mm Active area: 17.7mm x 6.6mm Fitbit Charge 3 Height: 11.8mm Width: 22.7mm Active Area: 17.64mm x 4.95mm Both … [Read more...] about Garmin’s Vivosmart 4 vs. Fitbit Charge 3: Design, specs, smarts, and more

These are two of the newest phones to come from Ulefone and two of the latest additions to the company’s “Power” line.
