Cutting corners: You may not think there's a market for hacked streaming accounts, but the hijacked Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime accounts that regularly show up for sale within hacking communities paint a different picture. With the recent launch of the highly-anticipated Disney+ streaming service, there's now a new commodity: hacked Disney+ accounts. Disney's long awaited streaming service launched last week to much fanfare, notching an impressive 10 million subscribers on its first day. However, of those 10 million new customers, not everyone was happy; Disney+ launched with a slew of technical difficulties, and even the Disney+ website was knocked offline at one point. Technical woes tend to be expected when a new service arrives, but what wasn't expected was hundreds (thousands?) of accounts being hijacked and thrust onto the dark web for sale mere hours after the Disney+ launch. DISNEY+ HAS BEEN OPEN FOR LIKE 10 HOURS AND MY ACCOUNT HAS ALREADY BEEN HACKED … [Read more...] about Hacked Disney+ accounts are being sold on the dark web

Soon you'll be able to stream episodes of 'The Simpsons' exactly how they were aired. Disney+ holds streaming rights to the popular series, but earlier seasons aren't offered in the 4:3 aspect ratio. Instead, they're cropped to fit the 16:9 aspect ratio supported by new seasons and their episodes. Variety reports that, in early 2020, Disney+ will start offering all episodes in their original formats. It wouldn't be an issue for some series, but 'The Simpsons' relies on visual jokes throughout its episodes. In one example, Tristan Cooper noted on Twitter a scene in which Duff beer flavors are all connected to the same tube. Disney+ cuts off the tube above each tank, though. If you watch the same episode in the 4:3 aspect ratio, you'll see the single source of Duff-branded beer and understand the joke. Fortunately, an error like this won't occur after Disney+ rolls out the fix. Just be patient as there isn't an exact date for when 'The Simpsons' will no longer force the 16:9 ration on … [Read more...] about Disney+ to Fix ‘The Simpsons’ Aspect Ratio Issue Next Year

Jordan, meanwhile, found herself initially excited about the library, only to wonder how much time she really needs to spend watching her childhood favorites. As for that original content, we also have a spoiler-free review of “The Mandalorian.” Disney is releasing episodes on a weekly basis, with two episodes live as of publication — but only one available when we recorded. And even though … [Read more...] about Original Content podcast: Disney’s ‘Mandalorian’ is never boring
Politicians in the United Kingdom have called for a review of government guidelines on alcohol consumption. Alongside its current recommendation that people should limit their total alcohol intake to three to four units per day for men and two to three units for women (there are about two units in a glass of wine), members of a House of Commons committee said the U.K. health department should advise citizens to take at least two days off from drinking each week.Canada already includes this "drink holiday" recommendation in its alcohol guidelines, while the United States does not. Considering these mixed messages, which consumption pattern is actually healthiest? Will it really benefit your health to two take nights off from drinking each week?According to Thomas Greenfield, senior scientist at the Alcohol Research Group (ARG), a government-funded research organization based in Emeryville, Calif., the argument in favor of "drink holidays" is that heavy drinkers might find it easier to … [Read more...] about UK Recommends Weekly ‘Alcohol Holidays’ for Good Health
