The first India Stack Developer Conference that will dwell on ways and means to ensure wider adoption of India’s digital goods all over the world will be held in New Delhi on January 25. It will be attended by over 100 digital leaders from the industry, government, start-ups and unicorns and the academia. The government expects five to seven countries to sign up for adopting India-developed technology platforms like UPI and Aadhaar by March for accelerating digitisation, according to Union minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar . While speaking at India Stack Developer Conference , the minister said that the Prime Minister has decided to offer India technology platforms to countries to help them accelerate digitisation. "I expect by February-March, about 5-7 countries around the world to sign up (for adopting platforms)," Chandrasekhar said. The Catholic Diocese of Des Moines, Iowa, has issued new policies that ban transgender “girls” from playing school and church sports against natural-born girls and also restricts bathrooms and locker rooms to use only by birth gender, not “chosen” gender. The new policy , spearheaded by Bishop William M. Joensen, 60, will be implemented in the 17 area schools, four hospitals, and 80 parishes controlled by the diocese. The leadership said the seven new rules would not apply to outside vendors, visitors, or people not employed by the diocese or who are on the premises but not acting in an official capacity. Specifically related to sports, one new rule maintains that “All persons must use the bathroom or locker room that matches their biological sex.” However, the diocese did not rule out the use of single-person bathrooms. The rumors that Nokia is going to ship a Windows RT tablet just won't go away. Last month we saw pictures of a device purported to be a now-cancelled, first-generation Windows RT tablet. Now we have more pictures posted to Chinese site Digi-Wo of a new device with an altogether superior spec. The brightly colored tablet—a pinkish red in the pictures, but also apparently available in green and blue—is alleged to contain a 2.15GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800, a 10.1-inch 1080p screen with five-point touch, 802.11n, HDMI, and USB 3. The device pictured also has Verizon LTE branding. A schematic included in the post shows a kind of keyboard cover that props the tablet up and appears to include storage for a stylus.
