Representative Don Bacon (R-NE) said Tuesday on NBC News’ “Meet The Press NOW” that Attorney General Merrick Garland should appoint a special counsel to investigate the discovery of classified documents in former Vice President Mike Pence’s home. Bacon said, “We have an epidemic of senior leaders taking classified documents home. And we have to say categorically, whether it’s Republican or Democrat, it’s all wrong. I do appreciate the fact Mike Pence leaned into it and was transparent right away, but we have a problem when we have a president, a vice president who is now president, and a vice president having classified in their homes.” He continued, “It shows carelessness, negligence, and I think Americans should be mad. That’s why it has to be researched and investigated.” Host Kristen Welker asked, “You say researched and investigated, given that do you think Merrick Garland should appoint a third special counsel to look into how classified material ended up at the Indiana … [Read more...] about GOP Rep. Exclusive: CNN Camera Crew Present Outside Mike Pence Group in D.C.
A CNN camera crew was as of Thursday morning present on the street outside former Vice President Mike Pence’s advocacy group headquarters in downtown Washington, DC, Breitbart News has learned. The group is called Advancing American Freedom and has headquarters in downtown Washington, D.C. Photos of the CNN staffers—who had a camera on a tripod there—provided to Breitbart News suggest the camera crew was possibly awaiting action from the Department of Justice (DOJ) or FBI in the ongoing classified document scandals plaguing Pence, former President Donald Trump, and current President Joe Biden. CNN and the DOJ have not replied to requests for comment. Pence officials have previously made clear that staff-led searches have been conducted both at Pence’s home in Indiana and at this organization’s headquarters and that there are no other possible locations to search. The presence of the CNN camera crew raises questions about whether or not the DOJ or FBI are leaking to … [Read more...] about Exclusive: CNN Camera Crew Present Outside Mike Pence Group in D.C.
Google to SCOTUS: Liability for promoting terrorist videos will ruin the Internet
For years , YouTube has been accused of enabling terrorist recruitment. This allegedly happens when a user clicks on a terrorist video hosted on the platform, then spirals down a rabbit hole of extremist content automatically queued “up next” through YouTube’s recommendation engine. In 2016, the family of Nohemi Gonzalez—who was killed in a 2015 Paris terrorist attack after extremists allegedly relied on YouTube for recruitment—sued YouTube owner Google, forcing courts to consider YouTube’s alleged role in aiding and abetting terrorists. Google has been defending YouTube ever since. Then, last year, the Supreme Court agreed to hear the case . Now, the Gonzalez family is hoping that the high court will agree that Section 230 protections designed to shield websites from liabilities for hosting third-party content shouldn’t be extended to also protect platforms’ right to recommend harmful content. Google thinks that’s exactly how the liability shield should work, though. Yesterday, … [Read more...] about Google to SCOTUS: Liability for promoting terrorist videos will ruin the Internet

Nolte: Unlike Trump’s, Biden’s Classified Document Scandal Is Real
Former President Donald Trump is embroiled in another Deep State frame-up job, this time over classified documents. Meanwhile, His Fraudulency Joe Biden is dealing with a legitimate classified document scandal. Before we go any further, I find all this “classified document” handwringing silly. Speaking objectively outside the tit-for-tat of partisan politics, everyone knows America goes overboard with that big, red CLASSIFIED stamp. Hey, and who can blame us? Stamping something CLASSIFIED has to feel pretty cool. Reading something stamped CLASSIFIED must feel even cooler. So why not stamp, stamp, stamp your way to that warm and fuzzy feeling of self-importance? Plus, by stamping everything CLASSIFIED, the Deep State can frame people for invented crimes, embarrass them politically, and meddle in elections. And we all know how much the FBI, NSA, CIA, and Homeland Security love to frame people to protect the Democrat party. Here’s my view of what’s happening to Trump: From what we … [Read more...] about Nolte: Unlike Trump’s, Biden’s Classified Document Scandal Is Real
Supreme Court: Hacking conviction stands for man who didn’t hack computer
On Tuesday, the Supreme Court let stand the novel hacking conviction of a man who did not hack a computer to gain unauthorized access. Further Reading Supreme Court’s new term: Surveillance, hacking, sports betting—and cake, too The justices, without comment, turned away the appeal of David Nosal, who was convicted of three counts under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA) hacking statute. Nosal's conviction was based on a hacking conspiracy of sorts. According to court documents, Nosal used to work at an executive search firm called Korn/Ferry. After quitting Korn/Ferry, Nosal urged a former colleague to give up her credentials to two other Korn/Ferry employees who were cooperating with Nosal. At Nosal's urging, they downloaded proprietary Korn/Ferry information to help the trio start a competing firm. As his punishment for the conspiracy, Nosal was sentenced to a year in prison. He appealed and said the hacking statute did not apply to him. In seeking the … [Read more...] about Supreme Court: Hacking conviction stands for man who didn’t hack computer
Manhattan DA demands Congress require mobile phone backdoors
Cyrus Vance, Jr., the Manhattan district attorney and an outspoken critic of encryption, called on Congress to adopt legislation mandating that mobile phone makers like Apple and Google bake backdoors into their smartphones. Vance said it is "government's principal responsibility to keep its residents safe, and that a government cannot fulfill that responsibility if huge amounts of vital information directly related to public safety are inaccessible to the government." Further Reading This is the most outrageous government tirade against iOS 8 encryption The district attorney's proposal provided data saying that in a span of 12 months ending in October, as many as 111 prosecutions in his office for a variety of crimes like homicide, attempted murder, sexual abuse of a child, sex trafficking, assault, and robbery were hindered because of encrypted mobile phones connected to the cases. He also cited a litany of prosecutions in which evidence obtained from mobile phones … [Read more...] about Manhattan DA demands Congress require mobile phone backdoors
DOJ Let Biden’s Personal Attorneys Search for Classified Docs Without FBI
President Joe Biden’s Justice Department reportedly permitted the president’s personal attorneys to search for classified documents in separate locations without security clearances or the FBI present. Critics have questioned why Biden’s personal attorneys were initially looking for classified documents. Others have questioned why the president’s legal team was continuing to search his home Thursday for classified documents after a special counsel was appointed earlier that day. According to the Wall Street Journal , the initial search, authorized by DOJ, involved people with no security clearance looking for potentially classified material. “Mr. Biden’s legal team prepared to search his other properties for any similar documents, and discussed with the Justice Department the prospect of having FBI agents present while Mr. Biden’s lawyers conducted the additional searches,” the report said. “Instead, the two sides agreed that Mr. Biden’s personal attorneys would inspect … [Read more...] about DOJ Let Biden’s Personal Attorneys Search for Classified Docs Without FBI
Mitch McConnell: Biden Document Scandal Should Be Treated Like Trump
Republican Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said that President Joe Biden’s mishandling of classified documents should be treated “exactly the same way” as they treated former President Donald Trump. The senator made his comments during an interview with Terry Meiners on Kentucky’s NewsRadio 840 WHAS in which he said Attorney General Merrick Garland made the correct decision to appoint Robert Hur as special counsel over mishandled classified documents from Joe Biden’s time as vice president that he kept in his Delaware home. “I think the attorney general probably did the right thing by having two special counsels,” McConnell said. “What’s good for one candidate for president ought to be good for another one.” U.S. President Donald Trump talks to the press as Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) looks on after the Republican luncheon at the U.S. Capitol Building on January 9, 2019, in Washington, DC. James Comer to Probe Biden Admin over Plan to Hide Classified Docs
The chairman of House Oversight Committee told Breitbart News it plans to probe the Biden administration’s reported plan to hide the classified document scandal from the American people. According to the Washington Post on Thursday, the White House and Justice Department not only agreed to obscure the scandal from public view, but they also refused to divulge that the second trove of classified documents was already unearthed at Biden’s home in Wilmington when CBS News first contacted the White House about the initial leak of classified documents illegally stored at the Biden Penn Center. “The Biden White House’s secrecy in this matter is alarming,” Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) told Breitbart News. “Many questions need to be answered but one thing is certain: oversight is coming.” The White House, Justice Department, and National Archives have so far failed to respond to congressional demands for information related to the scandal. The stonewalling has … [Read more...] about James Comer to Probe Biden Admin over Plan to Hide Classified Docs
