Something to look forward to: Samsung’s Odyssey G9 is a 49-inch behemoth that we love, and it looks like the upgraded model will be even better. According to a new listing, the next Odyssey will be the first gaming monitor to support DisplayHDR 2000, which, at 2,000 nits, would make it the brightest available today. We gave the Odyssey G9 a score of 90 in December, praising its 5120 x 1440 resolution, 240 Hz refresh rate, and good color performance for a VA panel. Samsung recently said the next version would be another tech product to use a Quantum Mini LED display. The OLED-like tech is becoming more popular in TVs, and is expected to feature in Apple’s next iPad Pro —and rumored to be causing production problems . NEW DELHI: South Korean tech LG recently announced its exit from the smartphone business. The company confirmed that it will completely shut down the business by July this year. However, despite exiting the business, LG confirmed that it will continue to offer software updates for some of its devices. The company has now revealed the list of LG smartphones that will receive Android 12 and Android 13 . Along with this, the company has also listed the roadmap for Android 11 update. The list of LG smartphones which will receive Android 12 and Android 13 updates include LG Wing , LG Velvet , LG V50S, LG V50, LG G8, LG Q31, LG Q52 and LG Q92. On the other hand, the company confirmed that LG Velvet will get Android 11 update this month, while LG G8X will get the update in Q3 2021. Ant Group will apply to become a financial holding company that is overseen by China's central bank as part of efforts to appease regulatory concerns over the way it conducts its online payments operations. Pan Gongsheng, deputy governor of the People's Bank of China (PBOC), said in a statement that Ant representatives met with four of China's regulatory arms to address anti-monopoly concerns on Monday. In the statement, he also revealed that Ant Group has been working with the agencies in recent months to formulate "rectification plans" aimed at resolving these concerns. As part of the plan, Ant Group has agreed to apply to become a financial holding company that is supervised by the PBOC. It will also give consumers more payment method options and disconnect any "anti-competitive connections" between Alipay and other financial products, such as Huabei and Bibai, as part of the plan. The new laptop starts at $999 and will be available to purchase in the US, Canada, and Japan as of today, with shipping beginning on April 15.
