Beyond big-screen surprises hitting HBO Max, the service's Max Originals also offer new, exclusive shows and movies. Some of the latest: November brought The Flight Attendant, a comedic thriller series starring Kaley Cuoco, and January brought pandemic-timely film Locked Down, in which Anne Hathaway and Chiwetel Ejiofor play an unhappy couple stuck in quarantine who decide to pull off a jewel heist. In the pipeline is the four-hour (!) so-called Snyder cut of the 2017's Justice League, expected in March, as well as Peacemaker, a DC spinoff series is designed to be linked to next year's theatrical movie The Suicide Squad. Peacemaker will star John Cena reprising his role, with James Gunn writing and directing before he begins work on the next Guardians of the Galaxy movie. Other originals that have already been released include Raised by Wolves, which appears to be the most popular Max original so far; an Adventure Time animated hour-long special, the first of four; and … [Read more...] about HBO Max: Everything to know, before WW84 is gone

The best office chairs to buy in 2021
An awesome chair alone isn't enough Ergonomics is the "science of work," explains Gary Allread, the program director for the ergonomics division at Ohio State University's Spine Research Institute. That definition doesn't just apply to our jobs, though; ergonomic principles can be used for pretty much any activity (that means an ergonomic chair isn't going to immediately fix your lower back pain). Allread and his team offer consultation services for a variety of workplaces, from manufacturing plants to the auto industry and more. Data centers want to be a lot greener. One big problem is holding them back

In Japan, for example, electronics company Kyocera builds solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC), but only for use in residential settings. The infrastructure in place for those customers, therefore, is radically different to the one that would be needed for the needs of data center operators across the world. … [Read more...] about Data centers want to be a lot greener. Huawei Mate 40 Pro is a beautiful phone, but we can’t ignore one glaring problem
The issue of doing this, however, is that you have to trawl through websites that seem adamant on tricking you with adverts. Many I visited used the trick of a big "Download Now" button that's actually an ad, and buried the actual, much smaller "install apk" button further down. You have to be on your guard and it's not as pleasant an experience as browsing through a regular app store. Also, installing apk files from unknown sources is inherently risky. Because they don't come from official sources, you don't know if they're even up to date or if they're loaded with malware. I didn't mind trying this out with my review device, but I wouldn't be comfortable doing it on a phone that also contained my banking details, contact lists and work email accounts. … [Read more...] about Huawei Mate 40 Pro is a beautiful phone, but we can’t ignore one glaring problem
Disney Plus: Everything to know about Disney’s app
Beginning March 26, Disney Plus' monthly subscription will cost $8, a price increase of $1 a month; its annual plan is going up $10 to $80 a year. And Disney's three-service bundle -- combining streaming access to Hulu, Disney Plus and ESPN Plus -- is going up $1 a month to match. (Other countries with Disney Plus will see their rates go up a comparable amount in their local currencies.) The monthly rate of Disney Plus is still roughly half the price of HBO Max and a discount compared with Netflix's cheapest tier, which is $9 a month. … [Read more...] about Disney Plus: Everything to know about Disney’s app
