The trailer for John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum finally dropped and it has us on the edge of our seats already. Keanu Reeves’ deadly assassin, who once killed three men in a bar with a pencil, was last seen in 2017’s John Wick: Chapter 2. John Wick aka Baba Yaga was forced to go on a run after he was declared ‘excommunicado’. He had assassinated Santino D’Antonio on the grounds of the Continental Hotel, which caters to the criminal underworld exclusively and does not permit any business being conducted on its premises. The trailer picks up right where Chapter 2 left off. John is given an hour head start before the $14 million global contract on him is activated. He can be seen asking for help and safe passage from a member of … [Read more...] about John Wick: Chapter 3 is completely bonkers and we love it!

These modular triangular light panels can be formed in any shape you like and are WiFi-enabled, allowing you to control them via your phone or Google Home and Alexa. But those of you who haven't will probably scroll down to see the high price tag and scoff in disbelief. $229.99 for a set of 9 light panels and a music module is a rather extravagant price to pay. But that's exactly what the Nanoleaf are: extravagant. They go a step beyond smart lights like Hue and LiFX and straight into "cool art deco" territory. This isn't a smart home product, per se, it's a smart home design product and therein lies the difference. I paid nearly $200 for my floor lamp … [Read more...] about Nanoleaf Aurora review: The coolest and most extravagant smart lights you can own

It's hard to find another way to describe my feeling right now as I sit down to write this Nokia 8 review. For those who don't know my history, my career covering mobile devices started with a personal blog in 2006 and a Nokia 3250 XpressMusic. For several years, I was Dotsisx (.sisx), a nickname that evokes how much I was involved with the Symbian OS. I reviewed phones, I covered events, I spent hours daily looking for the best apps and games. Even when the first iPhone launched and Android started making waves, I was a Symbian user through and through. It wasn't until late 2010 when, along with my Symbian-Guru.com partner Ricky Cadden, we foresaw the demise of Symbian and Nokia that I moved on to Android. It was an ugly breakup, the kind where dirty laundry gets aired in public and covered by Engadget but where … [Read more...] about Nokia 8 review: Nokia looks and Nexus feel make for a very enjoyable experience

What was once a flourishing segment filled with options on every end of the price and specs spectrum now essentially holds two distinct categories: the cheap Amazon Fire tablets and the more expensive Samsung / Huawei tablets. Even those companies' releases have slowed down to a point where we can only hope to see one nice new tablet every 12 to 18 months. That's why it's important to look at the Huawei MediaPad M5 series as a unique offering. To some, it's a relic of a time that's passed, to others who still want an Android tablet like I do, it's a desirable unicorn. The M5 is one of the very rare, new, more or less affordable, and feature-full tablet options on the … [Read more...] about Huawei MediaPad M5 8.4″ and M5 Pro 10.8″ review: The best all-around Android tablets you can buy
Scientists have created a robot chemist which could revolutionise the way molecules are discovered.Chemists from the University of Glasgow have trained an artificially-intelligent organic chemical synthesis robot to automatically explore a very large number of chemical reactions. The system, underpinned by machine-learning algorithms, can find new reactions and molecules. It is hoped the results could lead to lower costs for discovering new molecules for drugs, new chemical products including materials, polymers and molecules for high tech applications like imaging. The team demonstrated the system’s potential by searching around 1000 reactions using combinations of 18 different starting chemicals. After exploring only around 100 of the possible reactions, the robot was able to predict with over 80% accuracy which combinations of starting chemicals should be explored to create new reactions and molecules.By exploring these reactions, the scientists discovered a range of … [Read more...] about Robot chemist discovers new molecules and reactions
