Audio player loading… With the announcement of AMD Ryzen 7000X3D-series chips at CES 2023, a lot of attention has been paid to what the new stackable cache technology can bring to Zen 4 processors. According to a new teardown of the Radeon RX 7900 XT, there is reason to hope that this same technology will be making its way to a graphics card near you. What else can you see? But now comes the conundrum—what if you want to use different images on different screens? RELATED: How to Set a Different Wallpaper on Each Monitor in Windows 10 Unfortunately, Windows 7’s default wallpaper handler is pretty primitive for multiple displays. (Windows 8 and 10 are much better, so check out these instructions if you’re using a later version of Windows.) In Windows 7, you have two options for using different wallpapers: you can create your own combined image, using your favorite image editor, or you can use a third-party tool like DisplayFusion or UltraMon . First, we’ll look at the manual way to make your own multi-monitor wallpaper. How to Delete, Modify or Disable an Incorrect or Duplicate Entry on the XP Boot Menu

May 24, 2010 by www.howtogeek.com Leave a Comment

Have you ever inherited a computer that has more than one entry on the Windows XP boot menu screen? Most of the time one of the entries doesn’t even work in the first place, and then you’re forced to either hit a key or wait 30 seconds every time. Note: If you’re on Windows 7 or Vista, there’s a different method required for removing boot menu items . There are two options to get around this: You can remove the offending boot menu item, or you can just turn off the boot menu from being displayed. If you aren’t tech savvy, you’ll want to just use the second option. Thanks to my friend Shawn for forgetting how to do this and prompting me to write this article. =) Removing an Incorrect Boot Menu Option on XP Note: This method involves modifying a very important boot configuration file. You should proceed with caution and always make sure you have backups of your files just in case something goes wrong. All of the boot menu options in Windows XP are stored in the … [Read more...] about How to Delete, Modify or Disable an Incorrect or Duplicate Entry on the XP Boot Menu

Meta’s plans to expand metaverse are up and running again: Here’s how

February 2, 2023 by www.gadgetsnow.com Leave a Comment

Facebook-parent company Meta has reportedly received a go-ahead from a court to complete its purchase of virtual reality startup Within Unlimited, after the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) sought to block the deal saying the purchase could end the competition in the market. A report by Bloomberg cited people familiar with the ruling as saying that a US judge denied the FTC’s request for a preliminary injunction to block the proposed transaction. The judge also issued a temporary restraining order that will essentially block Meta from closing the transaction for a week. This gives time to the FTC to appeal the ruling. What’s the case? In July 2022, the FTC filed a complaint to block Meta from acquiring virtual reality studio Within, which makes the popular VR app Supernatural. FTC said that the Mark Zuckerberg-owned company bought Within to end competition in the fitness market. Meta already owns Beat Saber which is a lot similar to Supernatural.
