MICROSOFT has revealed the next six games that will be free to play for all Xbox Game Pass subscribers. The highlight is almost certainly the excellent Monster Hunter World, the breakout hit that finally brought the hugely popular series to a wide audience outside of Japan. All in all, six new games are dropping on the service before the end of the month: Prey and The Golf Club 2 will be playable tomorrow, Monster Hunter World and Telltale's The Walking Dead: A New Frontier are coming on April 18 before Life is Strange 2: Episode 2 and Resident Evil 5 close the month out on April 24 and 25 respectively. Sony's E3 2018 press conference included a surprise reveal of two trailers for Resident Evil 2 Remake, along with gameplay footage and something even better: a confirmed release date. We'll see the game on Jan. 25, 2019, on PS4, Xbox One and PC. The cinematic trailer starts off from the viewpoint of a rat (presumably one of the vermin that spreads the zombie-creating T-Virus throughout Raccoon City) as it watches a man being killed by one of the undead. The zombie is then shot by Leon, one of the game's two heroes. In a nice nod to the original game's roots, the rat crawls past an original PlayStation prior to the gore.
