On the heels of the massive success of streaming services like Netflix and Hulu, more and more television channels are offering their own streaming options for people who want to enjoy their content away from the TV. ESPN, a household name in the world of sports entertainment, was a little slower on the uptake than other companies, but finally rolled out its streaming service – ESPN+ – early last year. Unlike some other streaming apps, ESPN+ isn’t meant to replace ESPN’s cable TV channel. Instead, it’s an easy and convenient way to enjoy both pre-programmed and live sports content like UFC, NBA, boxing, cricket, rugby, soccer, and just about anything else you could want to watch. ESPN+ offers a 7-day trial, too, so if you’re looking to watch the ongoing India vs. New Zealand cricket One Day International matches, then you can take advantage of this to stream them for free. The New Zealand vs. India cricket ODI series started on Tuesday, January 22, … [Read more...] about Watch the India vs. New Zealand cricket match for free with an ESPN+ 7-day trial

College sports are yours to watch live online with an ESPN+ free trial
Previous Next 1 of 8 You’re a massive college sports fan. In fact, you scoff at individuals who limit their viewing to the SEC or the Big East. You know true fandom means caring as much about what’s going down at the University of Pennsylvania as at Penn State. The only problem with having this much enthusiasm and dedication? It can be difficult to catch all the games, especially for smaller conferences. Well, thanks to ESPN+ that’s no longer the case! A relatively new streaming service, ESPN+ is designed to complement the network’s current crop of content. Subscribers have access to a number of live sporting events such as regular season MLB, NHL and MLS games, UFC matches, Grand Slam tennis, World Rugby Sevens, FIBA basketball, English Football League, UEFA, and more. Even better, they can pause and rewind live games as well as watch full game replays on demand. Subscribers also enjoy original programming like Detail with Kobe Bryant and … [Read more...] about College sports are yours to watch live online with an ESPN+ free trial
How to watch the World Series, with or without a cable subscription
The 2018 World Series is upon us, with the Boston Red Sox facing off against the Los Angeles Dodgers. The games all air live on Fox, but that’s far from the only way to watch. Whether you’re a hardcore baseball fan or you’re just looking to occasionally check in and see who’s in the lead, there are plenty of ways to watch the series, whether online, with cable, or without it, and we’ve listed them all here for you. With an HD antenna If you don’t want to subscribe to either a pay TV service or a streaming TV service, you can use an antenna to watch the game, provided you live in an area where you can get Fox over the air. If you’re further away from your affiliate, you might need to pull out the big guns. The Mohu Striker, for example, has a range of up to 75 miles, but … [Read more...] about How to watch the World Series, with or without a cable subscription

How NextVR and the NBA are bringing VR from the sidelines to center court
I’m standing at the back of a cramped production trailer in the bowels of Portland’s Moda Center where the NextVR crew is busy broadcasting the Blazers/Cavs game live. The game is electric, yet everyone in the trailer seems a little down — Lebron James just threw down what some are calling the best dunk of his career, which just happened to be at the hoop where the NextVR crew was down a backboard camera for tonight’s game. They’re afraid they missed out on capturing the moment in all its glory. But I saw it. In startlingly close virtual reality, no less, captured by NextVR’s camera mounted just beneath the backboard (which was working just fine, thanks very much). And it was epic. I tell the crew as much. There are some smiles and a bit of relief, but there’s no time for reflection right now. They’ve got a live show to put on for an eager crowd of early VR adopters across the globe. And as the saying goes, the show must go on. … [Read more...] about How NextVR and the NBA are bringing VR from the sidelines to center court
