Adobe gives marketers AI-based tools to use customers' data in real time The software giant said the updates are focused primarily on email, which remains one of the key channels in a marketer's arsenal. In February I announced the winners of what was arguably the most difficult CRM Watchlist to win. For example, fewer winners by 50% than ever before. No elite winners, and only a couple of winners with distinction. Really hard. Yet, there were winners, and two of them were with distinction. I was busy flying around, so I wasn't able to start writing up the winners as I have done for most of the 13 years I've had anything even resembling a Watchlist winners group. I had to get out my book (400 pages on customer engagement, and it's called the Commonwealth of Self Interest: Business Success Through Customer Engagement). I had clients to tend to, and endless conferences to attend. It’s no secret that personalized marketing can solidify brand loyalty, improve customer experience, and boost profit margins. In fact, one recent study showed that persuasive personalization can have a positive impact on revenue by as much as 15 percent. However, personalization is a challenge in itself. What is Digital Body Language? It’s a fact that most people use their feelings more than logic when they make purchasing decisions. This means that marketers can’t just rely on what customers bought in the past since there’s often no logical or repeatable pattern to reference. Instead, they’ll need to have a better understanding of the customer’s state of mind. A more effective strategy is to look into the shopper’s digital body … [Read more...] about Read Your Customer’s Digital Body Language, Boost Sales!
Big software companies don’t just stick to software any more—they build computer chips. The latest proof comes from Amazon, which announced late Monday that its cloud computing division has created its own chips to power customers’ websites and other services. The chips, dubbed Graviton, are built around the same technology that powers smartphones and tablets. That approach has been much discussed in the cloud industry but never tested at large scale. Amazon’s surprise move echoes Google’s effort to create its own chips to power artificial intelligence algorithms running in its data centers, which it also rents out to cloud customers. Amazon says it took on the tricky business of chip design to better integrate the software and hardware inside its giant data centers, allowing it to offer new, cheaper services. That’s not possible with off-the-shelf chips from Intel or AMD, which are designed to satisfy many different customers, says Matt Garman, a … [Read more...] about New at Amazon: Its Own Chips for Cloud Computing

Each and every day, a wave of ecommerce shoppers, avid article readers, and tech-tool consumers flood the internet, usually enticed to visit landing page after landing page by copywriters who have targeted them with ongoing determination. The truth is, a copywriter is more than just your average writer, journalist, or advertiser; to be a copywriter in the digital age requires great attention to detail, a creative or “outside of the box” thought process, and the ability to grab the attention of a reader with a single sentence. A copywriter knows what it takes to get a customer who just heard about a product to take out their credit card and buy it, just after spending a few minutes on a website.
