Red swimsuit models, outdoor pool, dim light - this is not a romantic scene from Baywatch, it’s IFA 2013 and this is how Sony advertizes its new Xperia Z1 aka Honami. With models jumping in a pool chasing Sony’s new waterproof phone and posing suggestively, it is all literally staged to make a splash. And it’s a sight to behold, especially for the male audience. Then come all other thoughts about booth babes at tech conferences and objectifying women. Has Sony crossed the line here? Truth be told, the swimsuit models that look like gymnasts are doing splits and handstands to show off the device and the whole performance borders between the artistic and suggestive.“Some people have strange jobs.” This is the comment that most accurately describes all this, but you’d have to see it yourself. It’s all there right below. All the teasing about the Sony Xperia Z1 is finally about to come to an end in mere hours - stay tuned, we’re in … [Read more...] about Girls gone Xperia: red swimsuit models show waterproof Honami Z1 at IFA
The launch of Nokia's N8 is fast approaching, and the Finns announced they will be doing a short movie called "The Commuter" as part of the advertising campaign. Nokia wants you in there too, so it set two websites where you can sign up to win one of the roles. The flick will be shot in HD entirely with a Nokia N8, and features Pamela Anderson and Ed Westwick. Pamela quote: "I’m really excited about the film and can’t wait to get on set. I don’t want to give too much away, but my scenes are shot in a bedroom and I’m looking forward to going back to my Finnish roots and sharing my bed with a Nokia N8!”We'd prefer something funkier than the Baywatch star from the nineties, but, seriously, how many celebs with Finnish roots can Nokia dig out? Not much, we would say, so if Pam Anderson (or Mr Westwick, for that matter) always tickled your fancy, head over to starwithpam.com or starwithed.com to sign up. You have until September 16th to enter, Pam's part will … [Read more...] about Share a set with Pamela Anderson as part of the Nokia N8 marketing campaign
