Every year, Google recognizes the top apps, games, movies, ebooks, and more in the Play Store with a "Best Of" award. The results for 2018's Best Of Google Play are in, and we've got all the winners listed below. In addition to Google's own selections, it also did something new by letting fans vote for their own favorites. When it comes to the Best App of 2018, Google gave this title to Drops: Learn 31 new languages while the Fan Favorite award went to YouTube TV. When it comes to games, PUBG Mobile was chosen by Google and fans alike. The Fan Favorite Movie of 2018 goes to Avengers: Infinity War, whereas Google's top five picks include Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War, Thor: Ragnarok, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, and Deadpool 2. Got a favorite app, game, or movie on Android? If so, you can now show your appreciation by voting for it in Google Play's new survey! Google has highlighted what it deemed as "the best and most popular" apps, games, music, movies, TV shows and books in its yearly "Best of" awards for quite some time now. However, in 2018, the tech has decided to reach out to fans in order to assign a "Fan Favorite" prize in the aforementioned three categories. There are 20 candidates in each group. Some of them are from 2018, while some have been around for quite a while. Voting wraps up in two weeks, and the winners will be announced on December 3, 2018. And because I really really After almost a year, it looks like Google is once again rolling out inline app changelogs in the Play Store. This handy feature shows you exactly what's new right in the updates screen (assuming the dev has written a proper changelog, which isn't always guaranteed), which is definitely a positive thing. Over in the "Updates" tab of My Apps & Games, you'll see a little down arrow next to the app size and the last time you updated. Hitting that arrow will bring down the changelog in a green box. It's a snazzy, extremely handy little feature, especially if you like to know what's getting changed or fixed in your favorite applications (and don't want to go to each app's page to find out).
