Cupertino-based tech giant Apple is dominating the wearable market globally, as per the recent quarterly report by IDC. The report has suggested that Apple has delivered a year-over-year growth of 195.5% at the end of Q3 2019 and captured the top position curtesy the growing popularity of the Apple Watch, AirPods, and Beats headphones. The iPhone maker shipped 29.5 million units and garnered a 35% market share. “Looking ahead, the price reduction on the Series 3 Watch as well as the launch of AirPods Pro leaves Apple in a strong position to maintain dominance in this market for the short term,” said IDC. At the second position, there is Chinese technology company Xiaomi with a 14.6% market share due to 12.4 million unit shipments. IDC suggests that Xiaomi shipped more than 10 million of Mi Band lineup during the quarter.
